WALANG PASOK: June 24, 2016 Special Non-Working day in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – June 24, 2016 is declared special non-working day (Translated: Walang Pasok) as per Proclamation No. 1289.

As per proclamation, June 24, 2016 marks the celebration of the 445th Foundation Day of the City of Manila. Likewise, it is proper that the people of City of Manila be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion, following appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, 24 June 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Manila.

On June 22, 2016, PRC also announced that PRC services will resume on Monday in lieu of the aforementioned celebration.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) today announces the temporary suspension of services in its Central office in Manila on June 24, 2016, Friday, in celebration of the 445th Foundation Day of Manila City referred to as “Araw ng Maynila”. PRC Manila will resume its normal operations on Monday, June 27, 2016.

PRC Regional offices will continue to deliver its services.
