After Military, Teachers are Next for Salary Increase – President Duterte

MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte said that after salary increase of military, teachers are next.

“Itong increase of salaries, ang sunod ko mga teachers”, the president announced during the situation briefing with military officials at Camp Nakar Lucena City in Quezon.

The President did not gave further details on the said salary increase for teachers.

As of the moment, doubling of the salary of uniformed personnel is his first priority.

The Budget Secretary said via text message at GMANews that the implementation is yet to be announced. As quoted,

Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella on a similar report likewise said that he has no update yet on the proposed wage hike. As quoted from his statement posted at GMANews report,
