#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions November 4, 2016 (Friday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on November 4, 2016 (Friday) are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to effects of bad weather conditions brought by Tropical Storm “Marce”.

As of 6:00 PM, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Friday, November 4, 2016.


Metro Manila

  • To be updated soon as LGU announced class suspensions…

Provinces

  • Talisay, Camarines Norte – Preschool to Highschool (Public and Private) 
  • Sorsogon City – All levels (Public and Private)
  • Pangil, Laguna – Preschool to Senior Highschool
  • Medellin, Cebu – Elementary to Highschool

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 5:00 AM, 04 November 2016,

At 4:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 95 km east of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.5°N, 125.5°E). It is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flash floods and landslides is expected over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over MIMAROPA, rest of CALABARZON, and of Visayas and Mindanao. Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over Visayas and Mindanao.  The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.
