#WalangPasok: Palace declared February 8, 10, 11, 13 & 17, 2017 Special Holiday in selected areas

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang Palace through Proclamation No. 142 to 147 series of 2017 declared February 8, 10, 11, 13 & 17, 2017 as special non-working days at selected areas due to celebrations of various important events.

Special non-working holidays are specifically declared on the following dates for their celebration of respective important occasions.


Proclamation No. 147 – Special non-working day in the Municipality of Godod, Zamboanga del Norte on February 8, 2017 (Wednesday) for the celebration of its founding anniversary.

Proclamation No. 146 – Special non-working day in the City of Talisay, Province of Negros Occidental on February 11, 2017 (Saturday) for the celebration of its 19th Charter Day.

Proclamation No. 145 – Special non-working day in the City of Iriga, Camarines Sur on February 11, 2017 (Saturday) for the celebration of “Tinagba Festival”; an ancient Bicolano harvest Festival.


Proclamation No. 144 – Special non-working day on February 13, 2017 (Monday) in the City of Parañaque for the celebration of its 19th Cityhood anniversary.


Proclamation No. 143 – Special non-working day in Municipality of Padre Burgos, Province of Quezon on February 17, 2017 (Friday) for the celebration of “Padre Burgos Day”.

Proclamation No. 142 – Special non-working day in the City of Laoag, Ilocos Norte on February 10, 2017 (Friday) for the celebration of “Pamulinawen Festival” and the “Laoag City Day”.

Palace said that it is but fitting and proper that the people from above-mentioned cities be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasions with appropriate ceremonies.
