#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on August 22, 2017 (Tuesday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class and work suspensions on August 22, 2017 (Tuesday) are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to inclement weather conditions brought by southwest monsoon or “Habagat” intensified by “Bagyong Isang”.

As of 7:00 AM, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.


METRO MANILA

  • Caloocan City – all levels (public and private)
  • Las Piñas City – all levels (public and private)
  • Malabon City – all levels (public and private)
  • Mandaluyong City – all levels (public and private)
  • City of Manila – all levels (public and private)
  • Marikina City – all levels (public and private)
  • Muntinlupa City – all levels (public and private)
  • Navotas City – all levels (public and private)
  • Parañaque City – all levels (public and private)
  • Pasay City – all levels (public and private)
  • Pasig City – all levels (public and private)

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 4:00 PM, 21 August 2017,

At 3:00 pm today, the center of TROPICAL STORM “ISANG” was estimated based on all available data at 195 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.5ºN, 123.8ºE) with maximum sustained winds of 80 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 97 km/h. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 15 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.

Stormy weather will be experienced over Batanes group of Islands. Rains with gusty winds will prevail over Babuyan Group of Islands. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning due to thunderstorm will be experienced over Metro Manila, Visayas and the rest of Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies except for isolated light to occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning will prevail over Mindanao. 

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the the southwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters thoughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.

      Metro Manila nga diba nakalagay kasama na Makati dun, tatanga tanga ka ba? O wala ka lang alam sa geography ng sarili mong bansa?
