PRC RESULTS: November 2017 Civil Engineering CE Board Exam List of Passers




MANILA, Philippines – The November 2017 Civil Engineering CE board exam results including the full list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing and overall performance summary of schools, among other related announcements will be available at this website soon as PRC releases the full results online few working days after the last day of board examination. The November 2017 Civil Engineer licensure exams are administered by PRC Board of Civil Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo and its members, Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero on November 11-12, 2017 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2016-1019 series of 2016 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2017”, the target release date of November 2017 Civil Engineer (CE) board exam result will be in four (4) working days after the last day of board examinations or by November 16, 2017 (Thursday). However, results may also be released earlier or later without prior notice.

Update: Results are expected to be released from November 16-20, 2017, 2-3 working days after the last day of board exams, due to the suspension of government work in Metro Manila from November 13-15, 2017 (ASEAN Summit).

On the same exams conducted by PRC on May 2017, November 2016 and May 2016, results were out after three (3) working days.

REGISTRATION DATE & REQUIREMENTS

These important registration schedule and requirements shall be secured by a successful examinee.
  • The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by the board.
  • Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, Notice of Admission (NOA), two (2) pieces of colored passport ID picture with white background and nametag and two (2) sets of doc stamps.
For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The November 2017 Civil Engineering board exams covered the following topics:
  • Mathematics, Surveying and Transportation Engineering (Algebra, Plane and Spherical Trigonometry, Analytics, Descriptive and Solid Geometry, Differential and Integral Calculus, Highway and Railroad Surveying, Plane Topographic and Hydrographic Surveying, Advanced Surveying, Design and Construction of Highways and Railroads, Piers, Ports and Wharves) 35%
  • Hydraulics and Geotechnical Engineering (Fluid Properties; Hydrostatic Pressures; Fluid Flow; Buoyancy and Flotation; Relative equilibrium of Liquids; Hydrodynamics; Water Supply Soil Properties; Soils Classification; Fluid Flow through Soil Mass; Stresses in Soil Mass; Soil Strength and Tests; Bearing Capacity; Compaction; Consolidation and Settlement; Lateral Earth Pressures; Slope Stability) 30%
  • Structural Engineering and Construction (Engineering Mechanics; Strength of Materials; Theory of Structures; Analysis and Design of Concrete; Steel; Timber Structures and Foundation with the application of the governing Codes of Practice) 35%
PREVIOUS CE EXAMS

Civil Engineering is one of the programs with huge number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

On the most recent CE exams conducted by the board on May 2017, 2,514 out of 6,998 examinees passed. Hisham Adiong Sacar from FEU - Institute of Technology ranked first in the exams garnering 94.60% rating followed by Christian Paul Dela Cruz Sanguyo from Mapua Institute of Technology - Manila having 93.55%. De La Salle University - Manila was the lone school in the top performing schools list having 86 out of 105 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 81.90%. Full details of schools' performance here...

On CE licensure exams conducted November 2016, 5,036 out of 10,972 examinees passed. University of the Philippines (UP) and University of the Philippines - Los Baños (UPLB) got the first two spots in the top performing schools having 96.08% and 95.16% overall respective passing rate. Sirven Carandang Garibay from UPLB ranked first garnering 93.20% rating. He was followed by Samuel Eliezer Yu Uy and Selina Dianne King Bernardo, both from University of San Carlos having 92.75% and 92.65% ratings.

On May 2016, 2,245 out of 5,882 examinees passed the exams. De La Salle University (DLSU) was the only school in the top performing schools list having 71 out of 88 examinees passed or an equivalent 80.68% overall passing rate. Luvincci Del Rosario Tan from Mapua Institute of Technology Manila ranked first garnering 93.70% rating. He was followed by Christian Espiritu Baldo and Rei Kevin Catantan Tungcab, both from FEU - Institute of Technology (formerly FEU - East Asia College) having 93.25% and 91.70% respective ratings.
