PRC RESULTS: November 2017 Interior Design Board Exam List of Passers

MANILA, Philippines – The November 2017 Interior Designer board exam results including the full list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing and overall performance summary of schools, among other related announcements will be available at this website soon as PRC releases the results online on November 17, 2017 or six (6) working days after the last day of board examination. The November 2017 Interior Designer licensure exams are administered by PRC Board of Interior Design headed by its Chairman, Sonia Santiago-Olivares and its members, Kathryn Milagrosa B. Abaño and Maria Carlota D. Hilvano on November 7-9, 2017 at PRC testing center in Manila.

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2016-1019 series of 2016 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2017”, the target release date of November 2017 Interior Designer board exam result will be in six (6) working days after the last day of board examinations or by November 17, 2017 (Friday). However, results may also be released earlier or later without prior notice.

On the same exam conducted by PRC on October 2016, results were out after eight (8) working days.


These important registration schedule and requirements shall be secured by a successful examinee.
  • The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will start be announced by PRC.
  • Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, Notice of Admission (NOA), two (2) pieces of colored passport ID picture with white background and nametag and two (2) sets of doc stamps. 
For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.


The three-days Interior Design board exam covered the following topics:

First Day (Tuesday, November 7, 2017)
  • Interior Design - 40%
Second Day (Wednesday, November 8, 2017)
  • Furniture Design and Construction - 15%
  • Materials of Design and Decoration - 10%
  • History of Arts and Interior Design - 10%
Third Day (Thursday, November 9, 2017)
  • Interior Construction and Utilities - 10%
  • Color Theory - 5%
  • Professional Practice and Ethics - 10%

Interior Designer is one of the programs with less number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

On the same exams conducted October 2016, 213 out of 419 examinees passed. Irene Kathleen Dee Dee and Hazel Anne Ling Tan, both from Philippine School of Interior Design clinched the first two (2) spots in the said exam garnering 88.65% and 87.50% respective ratings.

University of the Philippines (UP) - Diliman ranked as the top performing school having 41 out of 43 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 95.35% rating.

On October 2014, 198 out of 331 examinees passed. University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman was the only school in the top performing school list having 32 out of 32 examinees passed or an equivalent 100.00% overall passing rate.

Meanwhile, Martha Dorothy Apuli Panelo from UP Diliman ranked first in the said exam garnering 86.15% rating. She was followed by Lalaine Tibang Nacionales from University of Santo Tomas (UST) having 85.85% and Maria Janlyn Hebres De Leon from Polytechnic University of the Philippines Main - Sta. Mesa having 85.30% rating.
