#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions August 27, 2016 (Saturday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on August 27, 2016 (Saturday) are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGU) due to continuous bad weather conditions brought by Southwestern Monsoon or ‘Habagat enhanced by Typhoon ‘Dindo’.

As of 12:00 noon, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Saturday, August 27, 2016.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 5:00 AM, 26 August 2016,

At 4:00 PM today, the eye of the Typhoon “DINDO” was located based on all available data at 1,025 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (23.1°N, 131.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is forecast to move East Northeast at 7 kph. Southwest Monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms is expected over Metro Manila and the provinces of Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas and Palawan. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas.
