#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions October 6, 2016 (Thursday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on October 6, 2016 (Thursday) might be announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to effects of bad weather conditions brought by Tropical Depression “Julian”.

As of 4:00 PM, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 5:00 PM, 06 October 2016,

At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “JULIAN” was estimated based on all available data at 720 km east of Calayan, Cagayan (19.0°N, 128.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 KPH and gustiness of up to 55 KPH near the center. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 25 KPH. Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. 

Rains with gusty will be experienced over the province of Cagayan and the islands of Batanes. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southwest to west with slight to moderate seas.
