MANILA, Philippines – Class and work suspensions on September 12, 2017 (Tuesday) are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to inclement weather conditions brought by Bagyong “Maring” and Typhoon “Lannie” (Talim).

    PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

    According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 4:00 PM today, 11 September 2017,

    At 3:00 PM today,the center of Tropical Depression “Maring”was estimated based on all available data at 300 km East of Infanta, Quezon (14.7N, 124.4E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 60km/h. it is forecast to move WestNorthwest at 13 km/h. Meanwhile,At 3:00 PM today,the eye of Typhoon “Lannie”was located based on all available data at 1,390 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.9N, 134.8E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 145 km/h. it is forecast to move West Northwest at 28 km/h.

    Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Northern Quezon including Polillo Islands, Aurora, Quirino and Nueva Ecija will experience rains with gusty winds. 

    Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, the rest of CALABARZON, the rest of Central Luzon and the rest of Bicol Region will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains with thunderstorms. Lightning, occasional heavy rains, strong winds and flooding in low lying areas. 

    Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains with thunderstorms while Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers.
