MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on October 20, 2017 (Friday) are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to inclement weather conditions brought by Typhoon “Paolo”. As of 9:00 PM, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Friday, October 20, 2017.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 4:00 PM today, 19 October 2017,

At 3:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon “PAOLO” was located based on all available data at 930km East of Baler, Aurora (16.4N, 130.2E)with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to160 km/h.It is forecast to move North Northwest at 15 km/h.Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 175 km Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.9N, 117.7E).

Visayas, Bicol region,Zamboanga Peninsula, ARMM and Palawan province will experience cloudy skies withscattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, rest of Mindanao, provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms while the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
