#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on July 11, 2018 (Wednesday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to inclement weather conditions brought by southwest moonsoon or “Habagat” intensified by Typhoon “Gardo”.


Here’s the live list of class/ work suspensions as declared by respective LGUs on July 11, 2018.


METRO MANILA

  • No announcements as of this writing

PROVINCES

  • Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro – All levels (public and private)
  • Zambales – All levels (public and private)

SCHOOLS

  • No announcements as of this writing

Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at 11:00 PM, 09 July 2018 .

Typhoon “Gardo” continues to move west-northwestward over the Northern Philippine Sea. 

“GARDO” may enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) which will bring occasional rains over MIMAROPA and Western Visayas in the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Aurora. Residents of these areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides resulting from heavy rains. 

Sea travel remains risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon.

This Typhoon is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tomorrow evening (10 July) and Wednesday early morning (11 July).

Meanwhile, no warning signals are announced as of this writing.
