#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on July 24, 2018 (Tuesday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to inclement weather conditions brought by Southwest Monsoon or “Habagat” resulting to flooding and landslides.

As per latest PAGASA weather report, the areas of Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro, Palawan, and Western Visayas will experience scattered to widespread monsoon rains while, occasional rains over Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon and of Visayas.

Here’s the live list of class/ work suspensions on July 24, 2018 as declared by respective LGUs.

Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at 8:00 AM, 23 July 2018.

Tropical Depression “Josie” is now outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Residents of these areas, especially those living near river channels, in low-lying areas and in mountainous areas, are still advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslide, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices and continue monitoring for updates. 

Meanwhile, at 7:00 AM today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 1,495 km East of Central Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR). 

This system may develop into a Tropical Depression in the next 24 to 48 hours.
