#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on August 8, 2018 (Wednesday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 are imminent and expected to be announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to bad weather conditions brought by Southwest Monsoon or “Habagat” intensified by Tropical Depression “Karding”.

Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at 11:00 AM, 07 August 2018.

“KARDING” is not expected to make landfall in any part of the country. 

At 10:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 420 km West of Subic, Zambales. 

The Tropical Depression and the LPA may enhance the Southwest Monsoon, which would bring scattered moderate to at times heavy rains over Northern Luzon and the western section of Central Luzon starting Friday (10 August)
