#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on September 13, 2018 (Thursday)

MANILA, Philippines - Class suspensions on Thursday, September 13, 2018 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to bad weather conditions and occasional to heavy rains and wind brought by Bagyong "Ompong" (international name "Mangkhut") resulting to flooding. Here's the live list of class/ work suspensions on September 13, 2018 as declared by respective LGUs.

METRO MANILA

PROVINCES
Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at 11:00 AM, 12 September 2018. To quote,
Typhoon "MANGKHUT" has further intensified and it will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the afternoon.
The eye of Typhoon "MANGKHUT" was estimated based on all available data at 1,190 km East Northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Mangkhut has maximum sustained wind of 205 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 255 km/h and moving west at 20 km/h.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal #1 (TCWS#1)  may be raised over Eastern Luzon as early as tonight or tomorrow early morning (13 Sept.) 
May traverse the Cagayan-Batanes area around Saturday (15  Sept.) 
Heavy rains and strong winds possible over Northern Luzon and parts of Central and Southern Luzon.  Surrounding seas will be rough to very rough. 
May enhance the "Habagat" which will bring occasional rains over Palawan, Mindoro Provinces and Western Visayas by Friday and Saturday.
