The November 2018 Board Licensure Exam for Interior Designers were administered by PRC Board of Interior Design headed by its Chairman, Sonia Santiago-Olivares and its member, Maria Carlota D. Hilvano on November 6-8, 2018 at PRC testing center in Manila.

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2017-1068 entitled "Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2018", the target release date of November 2018 Interior Designer board exam result will be on November 21, 2018 (Wednesday) or nine (9) working days after the board exams.

However, PRC may also release the official results earlier or later than the stipulated date without prior notice. Just keep tuning-in at at this article for timely updates.

During November 2017 Interior Design board exams, results were released after eight (8) working days.

REGISTRATION DATE & REQUIREMENTS

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by PRC.

PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for all passers effective March 30, 2016. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online.prc.gov.ph/, an online application and registration portal of PRC.

Here are the registration requirements:
  • Notice of Admission (NOA) - for identification purposes
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
  • Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
  • Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)
PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The November 2018 Interior Design licensure exams covered the following topics.
  • Interior Design - 40%
  • Furniture Design and Construction - 15%
  • Materials of Design and Decoration - 10%
  • History of Arts and Interior Design - 10%
  • Interior Construction and Utilities - 10%
  • Color Theory - 5%
  • Professional Practice and Ethics - 10%
PREVIOUS EXAM

Interior Design board exam is one of the programs with less number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

In the most recent exams conducted last year, November 2017, 113 out of 473 examinees passed.

The first three (3) spots in the licensure exam were from University of the Philippines - Diliman. Paulyne Kate Sacdalan Genson got the first spot having 86.20% rating followed by Bianca Ysabelle Tiamzon Duran having 84.00% and Feliza  Denice Esteban Lansangan having 81.05%. Meanwhile, none among the schools qualified in the top performing schools list.
