NLE RESULTS, PASSERS: June 2019 Nursing Board Exam

Manila, Philippines (Released June 21, 2019) – The June 2019 Nursing Licensure Exam NLE results including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10 examinees), top performing schools, performance summary of colleges and universities, among other important announcements are released by the Professional Regulation (PRC) twelve (12) working days after the exams.

As announced, 5,059 out of 9,691 successfully passed the exams.

PRC conducted the first schedule of Nursing board exams for 2019 on June 2-3, 2019 at PRC testing centers around the country (Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga).

PRC Board of Nursing is composed of its  Chairman, Glenda S. Arquiza, and its members, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Gloria B. Arcos, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Florence C. Cawaon and Cora A. Añonuevo.

PRC, in its official Resolution No. 1127 series of 2018 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2019” said that the Nursing NLE result June 2019 will be posted on June 21, 2019 (Friday) or twelve (12) working days after the last day of licensure examinations.

The computation excludes the official holidays on June 5, 2019 (Eid’l Fitr) and June 12, 2019 (Independence Day).

Meanwhile, official result of June 2019 Nursing board exam may also be released earlier or later than the target date without prior notice.

INITIAL REGISTRATION/ OATH-TAKING

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be from July 3 to July 12, 2019.

PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for all passers effective March 30, 2016. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online.prc.gov.ph/, an online application and registration portal of PRC.

Here are the registration requirements:

  • Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
  • Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
  • Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Likewise, the date and venue of the oath-taking ceremonies will be posted in the website, few days after the posting of results.

VERIFICATION OF RATING

The verification of rating for Nursing board exam passers is done through PRC online portal.

All examinees (passed or failed) can verify their ratings at PRC official verification page. Just provided the required information to view the official rating.

COVERAGE OF EXAMS

The two-days NLE for June 2019 covered the following areas:

First Day (Sunday, June 2, 2019)

  • Nursing Practice 1 – Community Health Nursing
  • Nursing Practice 2 – Care of Healthy / At Risk Mother and Child
  • Nursing Practice 3 – Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part A)

Second Day (Monday, June 3, 2019)

  • Nursing Practice 4 – Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part B)
  • Nursing Practice 5 – Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alterations (Part C)

As per BoN, the test draw basic knowledge, skills and attitudes in the major subject areas specifically in Fundamentals of Nursing including Professional Adjustments, Maternal and Child Nursing, Community Health and Communicable Disease Nursing, Nursing of Adolescents, Adults and Aged, and Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing.

The examination will also test competencies in relation to the eleven (11) key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. Aforesaid key-areas are categorized as follows:

    • Communication
    • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Health Education
  • Empowering Competencies
    • Legal Responsibilities
    • Ethico-Moral-Spiritual Responsibilities

    • Management of Resources and Environment
    • Records Management
  • Enhancing Competencies
    • Research
    • Quality Improvement

Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Nutrition and Diet Therapy and Parasitology and Microbiology are also integrated.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

Nursing board exam or NLE is one of the programs with huge number of examinees conducted by PRC.

In the most recent Nursing board exams conducted on November 2018, 4,811 out of 12,033 examinees passed.

Jennifer Jacob Quirante from University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 87.80% followed by Kathryn Angelie Agustin Bugho from Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation having 86.80%.

University of Santo Tomas topped the top performing schools list having all of its examinees passed followed by Saint Louis University having 98.52% overall passing rate.
