LIST OF PASSERS: CPA Board Exam Result October 2019

MANILA, Philippines – The October 2019 CPA board exam result or the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam (CPALE) list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and performance of schools are available at this website as PRC officially releases the results online six (6) working days after the board examinations.

As announced, 2,075 out of 14,492 (14.32%) successfully passed the exams.

The October 2019 CPA were administered by PRC Board of Accountancy headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice Chairman, Marko  Romeo L. Fuentes and its members, Gloria  T.   Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano and Gervacio I. Piator (inhibited) on October 5, 6 & 12 2019.

OCTOBER 2019 CPA RESULTS SUMMARY

The October 2019 Board Licensure Exam for Accountants were conducted at testing centers located in Manila, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.


RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 1127 s. 2018 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2019”, the target release date of CPALE result October 2019 will be on October 21, 2019 or six (6) working days after the board exams. However, this may also be out earlier or later than the target date without prior notice.

In the most recent CPALE conducted last May 2019, results were out after five (5) working days while during October 2018, results were published after six (6) working days.

WHEN IS THE EXACT TIME OF RELEASE

As to the exact time of release of CPA board exam October 2019 result, PRC is only disclosing the target release date as mentioned. Meanwhile, based from previous releases of CPA board exams since 2016, results were released during afternoon time up until midnight. Refresh this page for the latest updates.


REGISTRATION

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be from October 28 to 31 and November 4 to 15, 2019.

PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for all passers effective March 30, 2016. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online.prc.gov.ph/, an online application and registration portal of PRC.

Here are the registration requirements:

  • Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
  • Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
  • Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

COVERAGE OF EXAMS

The October 2019 CPA licensure exams covered topics from auditing, management advisory services, taxation, regulatory framework for business transactions, financial accounting and reporting and advanced financial accounting & reporting.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

CPA is one of the the programs with most number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

In the most recent CPA exams conducted on May 2019, 1,699 out of 10,319 (16.46%) examinees passed. Josemaria Alvaro Cabarrus Fontillas from De La Salle University – Manila ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 89.83% followed by Geraldine Jade Frayco Papa also from DLSU Manila having 89.83% and Leinard Jan Corres Zaspa from University of Mindanao – Davao City having 88.50%. DLSU Manila was the lone school in the top performing schools’ list having 61 out of 72 examinees passed or 84.72% passing rate.

In CPA board exams conducted last year October 2018,  3,616 out of 14,358 (25.18%)  examinees passed. Lahaira  Amy Cayog Reyes from University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 91.83% followed by Erick Jan Solano Sagot from Ateneo de Davao University having 91.17%. In the top performing schools list, University of the Philippines – Diliman topped the schools garnering 94.52% overall rating followed by De La Salle University – Manila having 86.84%.

On May 2018 CPALE, 2,843 out of 9,830 (28.92%) examinees successfully passed. The first two (2) spots in the list of topnotchers were alumni of Saint Paul School of Professional Studies – PALO. Jayson Ong Chan ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 92.50% followed by Jomari Jess Sacendoncillo Abellar having 91.67%. De La Salle University – Manila topped in the top performing schools’ list having 90.11% overall passing rate followed by University of San Carlos having 83.72%.

During October 2017 CPA, 4,511 out of 14,816 (30.45%) examinees passed. Alfonso Solomon Ramos Magno from University of Santo Tomas (UST) ranked first in the exams garnering 91.33% rating followed by Judy Ann Malate Tuzon from University of the East – Manila having 91.17%. University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman ranked first in the top performing schools list having all of its examinees passed followed by De La Salle University Manila having 92.66%.

On May 2017 Accountancy board exams, 3,389 out of 9,645 (35.13%) examinees passed. Vianca Pearl Inot Amores and Marianato Jesus Berdin Del Rio, both from University of San Carlos ranked first in the exams having 92.67% rating. USC got the top spot in the top performing school’s list having 94.29% overall passing rate followed by De La Salle University – Manila garnering 85.87% rating.

During October 2016 CPALE exams, 5,249 out of 14,390 (36.48%) examinees passed. UP ranked first in the top performing school list having all of its 69 examinees passed or 100% overall passing rate. Vhinson Jay Samson Garcia from Wesleyan University Philippines – Cabanatuan City got the top spot garnering 94.33% rating followed by Daryl John Sarmiento Punzalan from Southern Luzon State University – Lucban having 94.17%.

On May 2016 CPA board exam, 2,967 out of 6,925 (42.84%) examinees passed. De La Salle University ranked first in the top performing schools having 93.10% overall rating followed by UST having 90.32% and University of San Jose Recoletos garnering 81.20%. Karim Gonzales Abitago from Universal Colleges of Paranaque topped the exams garnering 92.17% rating. He was followed by Kimjames Sarapanan Manalo from Cor Jesu College having 91.83% and Jayvee Faust Bugtai Anga from University of San Jose Recoletos having 91.67%.

VERIFICATION OF RATING

Successful PRC CPA passers of October 2019 can refer to the official website and use the LERIS Verification Page to know their board examination rating. This usually comes few days after the posting of results. As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name, last name and the birth-date.

OATH-TAKING SCHEDULE

PRC announced that the oath-taking for the passers of October 2019 CPALE will be held on November 18, 2019, Monday at the Plenary Hall, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Vicente Sotto St., Pasay City in two sessions:

  • First Session:  9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon (From A to F)
  • Second Session: 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. (From G to Z)

Inductees as well as the guests shall come in business attire. The tickets are available at 2nd Floor, Room 203, Don Lorenzo Building, Morayta, Manila (in front of PRC-Morayta).
