NEW PRC ID Card: Information, Design, Format and Layout

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission recently announced the new design, format and layout of the new Professional Identification Card (PIC) for all its regulated professions. As per the commission, the new design is effective beginning September 2019. Those who will renew their PICs starting September 2019 are expected to receive the new ID card. PRC said that this is in consonance with the policy of the government to ease the doing of business by simplifying documentary forms and processes and in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

All information are still the same with the old PRC card except that the Date of Birth and Date of last renewal are no longer in the card.

At the forefront of the new PRC ID card are the information including the last name, first name, middle name, registration number, registration date, expiration date/ validity, the name of the profession, and the bar code.

At the back is the certification that the professional is in good standing. To quote,
This is to certify that the person whose name, photograph and signature appear herein is a duly registered professional, legally authorized to practice his/her profession with all the rights and privileges appurtenant thereto.
This is to certify further that he/she is a professional in good standing and that his/her certificate of registration/professional license has not been suspended, revoked or withdrawn.
