LIST, ROOM ASSIGNMENT: March 2020 LET Teachers Board Exam

MANILA, Philippines  – The room assignments for Licensure Exams for Teachers (LET) March 2020 are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Professional Teachers few weeks before the licensure exam. The board exam is scheduled to take place on March 29, 2020 at PRC testing centers in National Capital Region (NCR)/ Manila, Zamboanga, Bacolod and all regional offices nationwide nationwide.

LET are among the programs with huge number of examinees being administered by PRC. On the most recent LET conducted on September 2019, 28,973 elementary teachers out of 92,440 examinees (31.34%) and 54,179 secondary teachers out of 136,523 examinees (39.68%) successfully passed.

To pass the LET, an examinee must obtain an average rating of NOT less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

EXAMINATION REMINDERS

As posted by PRC, examinees shall bring the following requirements on examination proper.
  • Official Receipt of payment of application for examination
  • One (1) piece of long transparent envelope for keeping the valuables and other items
  • One (1) piece of long size brown envelope
  • Two (2) ore more pencils (no. 2)
  • Ball pen with black ink only
PRC reminds examinees to report before 6:30 in the morning on the said date because late comers will not be admitted, examination fees for late examinees will also be forfeited.

Examinees are advised to check or verify the school/building assignments at the PRC official website or through the notices/ announcements to be posted at PRC premises 2-3 working days before the exams.

Examinees are allowed to bring and eat food inside the examination room. Further, they will not be allowed to leave the examination room, borrow anything or communicate with other examinees on any matter during the examination.

Non-compliance with the test instructions shall be ground for cancellation of the examination. Impersonation is also a ground for disqualification in LET and in future licensure examinations.

DRESS CODE

Examinees shall adhere to the attire set by the Professional Regulation Commission.

For male examinees, tucked-in white polo shirt with collar without any seal, logo or mark and decent pants or slacks while for female examinees, tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar without any seal, logo or mark and decent pants or slacks.

Additionally, examinees must be well-groomed, with hair properly clipped or pony tailed.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

Take note of the following prohibitions during the exams.
  • Books, notes, review materials and other printed materials containing coded information, data and formula;
  • Cellular phones, ear plugs, transmitters, portable computers, smart watches, bluetooth and other electronic gadgets and devices which may be used for communication purposes.
  • Calculators regardless of model or unit (for all examinees with majors other than Mathematics)
  • Bags of any kind are not allowed;
Likewise, PRC will not be responsible for any prohibited items which will be lost during the exams.

USE OF CALCULATOR

Pursuant to the Resolution No. 25 (s. 2019), Recommending Modifications to Commission Memorandum Circular No. 19 s. 2008: Updated list of non-programmable calculators allowed to be used in the licensure examinations, examinees in the secondary level with major in Mathematics may use calculators during the LEPT, provided that such calculators have the following features only: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric function, logarithm xy.

Only one (1) calculator is allowed inside the examination room. All calculators shall be thoroughly inspected by the examination personnel.

  • English - Study and Thinking Skills, Writing in the Discipline, Speech and Oral Communication, Philippine Literature and Master Works of the World
  • Filipino – Komunikasyon sa Akademikong Pilipino, Pagbasa at Pagsulat sa Panananaliksik at Masining na Pagpapahayag
  • Mathematics – Fundamentals of Math, Plane Geometry, Elementary Algebra and Statistics and Probability
  • Science – Biological Science - General Biology, Physical Science with Earth Science
  • Social Sciences – Philippine Government New Constitution with Human Rights, Philippine History, Basic Economics, Taxation, Agrarian Reform, Society, Culture with Family Planning; Rizal and other Heroes, Philosophy of Man, Arts, General Psychology and Information and Communication Technology
Professional Education (ProfEd)
  • Teaching Profession, Social Dimensions of Education
  • Principles of Teaching, Educational Technology and Curriculum Development
