POSTPONED: Civil Service Exam (CSE) March 2020, When is the New Date?

Mania, Philippines – The Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) has postponed the Civil Service Exam (CSE) for March 15, 2020. The suspension, as per the Commission is in light with the Proclamation No. 922 by President Rodrigo Duterte declaring the State of Public Emergency throughout the country due to Coronavirus or COVID-19.

To quote from the official statement from CSC,

In compliance to Proclamation No. 922 signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines and calling for the implementation of urgent, critical measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) suspends the conduct of the 15 March 2020 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) nationwide until further notice.

The CS exams was supposed to be held in 66 testing locations nationwide with an estimated total of 293,845 individuals nationwide registered to take the test. Of the figure, an estimated 253,419 will take the Professional Level of exam while an estimated 40,426 will attempt to hurdle the Subprofessional Level. Thus, it is necessary to suspend the exams as a preemptive health measure to mitigate the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and to support the national and local government units in undertaking appropriate response and measures in a timely manner to curtail and eliminate the COVID-19 threat.

When is the new/re-scheduled date of Civil Service Exam March 2020?

The Civil Service Commission is yet to announce the new date for the postponed March 15, 2020 Civil Service Exam. We will keep everyone posted as soon as the commission made an official announcement on the re-scheduled date of Career Service Exam – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT).

2020 CIVIL SERVICE EXAM

The CSE-PPT (Professional and Subprofessional levels) for the year 2020 is scheduled on March 15, 2020 and August 9, 2020 in NCR, CAR, CARAGA, ARMM as well as all Regional testing centers nationwide.

CSE-PPT aims to establish a Register of Eligibles (RoE) from which certification and appointment to first and second level positions in the civil service.

This is with exception to those involving practice of profession and/or covered by special laws, provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements of the positions.

Additionally, passers of Bar and Board exams may opt not to take the Civil Service Exam as they are already considered exempted pursuant to Republic Act 1080.

    Hi! What about the MTLE? Our exam takes place 3 days after CSE and 4 days before CEE, in which both are postponed.
