MANILA, Philippines – No classes or “Walang Pasok” was already declared at below areas on July 8, 2016 due to the heavy rains brought by typhoon “Butchoy”.

  • San Mateo, Rizal: Pre-school, Elementary, High School levels (public and private)

  • Trinity University of Asia – Classes are suspended at all levels
  • Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela – Classes are suspended
  • Valenzuela City Polytechnic College- Classes are suspended
  • Colegio de San Juan de Letran – all levels
  • Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila – Senior High School
  • Philippine College of Criminology – classes and work are suspended
  • University of the East (Manila and Caloocan campuses) – Pre-School to SHS
  • PUP Manila – Classes in Senior High School (SHS) and college are suspended

According to PAG-ASA, though the typhoon will be heading to Southeast Taiwan, it will enhance the southwest moonsoon which will bring moderate to heavy rains at provinces of Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Zambales and Mindoro.

Meanwhile, as of 4:00 A.M., July 8, 2016 weather update, Signal Number 2 is still raised at Batanes group of islands and Signal Number 1 in Babuyan Group of islands.
