POSTPONED: August 2021 MedTech Board Exam/ MTLE, rescheduled in January 2022

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the August 2021 Medical Technology/ MedTech Licensure Exam (MTLE) and likewise re-scheduled on January 15 & 16, 2022.

To quote,

Pursuant to PRC Resolution No. 1396 (s. 2021), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the August 21 & 22, 2021 Medical Technologists Licensure Examination (MTLE) has been rescheduled to January 15 & 16, 2022.The PRC requests the public’s utmost understanding and cooperation as it complies with the guidelines set forth by Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases as COVID-19 concerns continue to rise.

The board exam for Medical Technologists is previously scheduled on August 21-22, 2021 at NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

PRC has recently postponed the licensure exams for August 2021 in the National Capital Region (NCR) including those of Mining Engineering, Veterinary Medicine and Mechanical Engineering pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Resolution No. 130-A (s. 2021) and PRC Resolution No. 1392 (s. 2021).

Several board exams scheduled on first quarter of 2021 were cancelled and re-scheduled to third and fourth quarter (see below) due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, there were also licensure exams that pushed through following a strict health and safety protocols imposed by the commission. Among are the board exams for Medical Technologists/ MTLE, Social Workers, Veterinarians and Physicians/ PLE.

    Is this only for manila cancellation? How ’bout Iloilo and CDO, and Davao? Cases are also rising and Ecq status are always not sure.

      No announcement yet from PRC official as to whether the August 2021 MTLE will be cancelled. We advise to stand by..

    Tuguegarao was under ECQ last January MTLE but it was not cancelled. Kung icancel niyo man ngayon, doon lang sa naka ECQ. Gusto na naming matapos to. Lahat tayo pagod na.

    Prc ang dami naming students nag aantay bakit late kayo mag announce ng cancelation hindi biro sa part ng students ang daming nawala sa momentum tapos tumataas na ang cases ng delta variant I hope you would consider our sakes sobrang hirap ng buhay ngayon.

    I hope you will announce earlier po kasi di po lahat nakatira sa lugar na eexaman namin, babyahe pa po kami at maghahanap ng matitirahan near on the site of examination. Please consider po sa safety namin sa mga need bumyahe pa. Sana po di po kayo mag announce the day bfore the examination, sana po mga one week bfore, kasi gagastos pa po kami tapos macacancel lang ang exam.

    Please postpone it if necessary, sa family po namin we lost my dad and my lolo to Covid. But i am still taking the MTLE, if we are assured that the venue will prevent the transmission of the new variants, by all means proceed as scheduled, but if not. Spare us from acquiring the virus. Thank you
