‘Bagyong Usman’ Weather Update December 28, 2018 – PAGASA

MANILA, Philippines – “Bagyong Usman” has maintained its track as it moves closer to Eastern Visayas. It may intensify into a Tropical Storm prior to landfall over Eastern Samar. In the latest weather update issued by PAGASA on December 28, 2018, the center of Tropical Depression was estimated based on all available data at 250 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 65 kph while it is moving west northwest at 20 kph.

PAGASA said that moderate to heavy rains are expected in Visayas, Bicol Region, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, Romblon, and Quezon.

The public is reminded to take precautionary measures and coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices.

Likewise, “Bagyong Usman” may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between evening of December 30 and morning of December 31.
