MANILA, Philippines (Released December 29) – The December 2021 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam (CPALE) results including the complete list of board passers, top 10 (topnotchers) and performance of schools are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Accountancy in seven (7) working days after the last day of exams.
As announced, 318 out of 1,454 examinees passed.
The CPALE were conducted on December 16-18, 2021 in testing centers in Metro Manila by the Board of Accountancy headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes and its members Gloria T. Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano and Gervacio I. Piator.
The December 2021 Accountancy board exam for NCR examinees is originally scheduled on October 2021 but postponed due to the extension of the General Community Quarantine Alert Level 4 in Metro Manila. During the October 2021 CPALE in other testing locations, 361 out of 2,367 (15.25%) examinees successfully passed.

Release of Results
Referring to the results of the previous Certified Public Accountant licensure exams, taking into consideration the restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and the estimated target release date stated in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the CPA board exam results are estimated to be released by December 22, 2021 or three (3) working days after the last day of board exams. However, CPALE results may also be released earlier or later than the target release date without prior notice.

Schedule of Registration
The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new CPAs will be announced by PRC along with official results.
Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:
- Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
- Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
- Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
- One (1) piece short brown envelope
PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Verification of Rating
The verification of ratings and test results for the CPA licensure exams given by PRC Board of Accountancy will be available online few working days after the posting of results.
Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.
As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name and last name and the birth-date.
Oath-Taking Ceremonies
Due to the pandemic, the oathtaking ceremony for the newly Licensed Accountants will be done online, now referred as the “e-oath”. The application system for the e-oath can be accessed online via PRC dedicated portal via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and select “e-OATH” as transaction.
Inductees are required to print “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form that is downloadable at the PRC Online Services.

CPA Board Exam Results (Stats)
Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam or CPALE is one of the PRC-regulated exam with the huge number of examinees.
In the latest CPALE held on October 2021, 361 out of 2,367 (15.25%) examinees passed. No topnotchers and top performing schools were recorded on these licensure exams.
During the October 2019 CPALE, 2,075 out of 14,492 (14.32%) successfully passed. Justine Louie Bautista Santiago from University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 90.33% followed by Marlou Borbon Alinsonorin from University of San Carlos having 89.67%.University of the Philippines – Diliman was the lone school in the top performing schools’ list having 84.21% overall passing rate.
On May 2019, 1,699 out of 10,319 (16.46%) examinees passed. Josemaria Alvaro Cabarrus Fontillas from De La Salle University – Manila ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 89.83% followed by Geraldine Jade Frayco Papa also from DLSU Manila having 89.83% and Leinard Jan Corres Zaspa from University of Mindanao – Davao City having 88.50%. DLSU Manila was the lone school in the top performing schools’ list having 61 out of 72 examinees passed or 84.72% passing rate.
