CPALE RESULTS: October 2022 Certified Public Accountant CPA Board Exam Passers

CPALE RESULTS – The October 2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Exam results, including the complete list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), and performance of schools, are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Accountancy in eight (8) working days after the last day of exams.

PRC announces that 1,722 out of 6,665 (25.84%) successfully passed the October 2022 CPA Licensure Exams. The Commission said that “the results of examination with respect to two (2) examinees were withheld as per Board Resolution No. 57 and 58 dated October 26, 2022”.

The CPALE were conducted on October 14-16, 2022 in testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga by the Board of Accountancy headed by its Chairman, Noe G. Quiñanola, Vice-Chairman, Samuel B. Padilla, and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Thelma S. Ciudadano, Gervacio I. Piator, Maria Teresita Z. Dimaculangan, and Rosalinda D. Evangelista.

Release of Results

Update October 24, 2022: The October 2022 CPALE Results are expected to be released in six (6) working days onwards. Stand by from today future CPAs!

According to PRC Resolution No. 1439 series of 2021 entitled “Schedule of the Licensure Exam for the Year 2022“, the Certified Public Accountant CPALE October 2022 results will be released on Friday, November 4, 2022.

Meanwhile, the CPA board exam results in October 2022 may also be out earlier or later than the target release date.

Oath-Taking Ceremonies

Update November 4, 2022: The face-to-face oath-taking will be held on December 05, 2022, at 01:00 P.M., at the Plenary Hall, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Vicente Sotto St., Pasay City.

Those interested in attending shall register at least one (1) day before the date of the oathtaking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm attendance.

Inductees shall bring any of the following:

• Vaccination Card
• Negative RT-PCR results taken within 48 hours before the oathtaking

The newly licensed accountants’ oath-taking ceremony will be done online, now referred to as the “e-oath.” The application system for the e-oath can be accessed online via PRC dedicated portal at https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and select “e-OATH” as a transaction.

Inductees are required to print the “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form that is downloadable at the PRC Online Services.

Meanwhile, PRC has started scheduling face-to-face oath-taking for newly licensed professionals. This section will be updated should PRC conduct face-to-face oathtaking for new CPALE 2022 passers.

Schedule of Registration

The schedule of online appointments for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new Certified Public Accountants will be held on the following date(s).

Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:

• Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
• Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
• Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
• One (1) piece short brown envelope

PRC added that successful examinees should personally register and sign in to the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Verification of Rating

The verification of ratings and test results for the CPA licensure exams given by the PRC Board of Accountancy will be available online a few days after posting results.

Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.

As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name, last name, and the birthdate.

CPA Board Exam Results (Stats)

Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam, or CPALE, is one of the PRC-regulated exams with a considerable number of examinees.

In the latest CPALE held on May 2022, 990 out of 4,442 (22.29%) examinees passed. Jhoone Cyrelle Dela Cruz Nacario from the University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the exams, earning 88.83%.

In the CPALE held on December 2021, 318 out of 1,454 (21.87%) examinees passed. No topnotchers and top-performing schools were qualified.

During the CPALE held on October 2021, 361 out of 2,367 (15.25%) examinees passed. No topnotchers and top-performing schools were recorded on these licensure exams.

During the October 2019 CPALE, 2,075 out of 14,492 (14.32%) successfully passed. Justine Louie Bautista Santiago from University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 90.33% followed by Marlou Borbon Alinsonorin from University of San Carlos having 89.67%.University of the Philippines – Diliman was the lone school in the top performing schools’ list having 84.21% overall passing rate.

On May 2019, 1,699 out of 10,319 (16.46%) examinees passed. Josemaria Alvaro Cabarrus Fontillas from De La Salle University – Manila ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 89.83% followed by Geraldine Jade Frayco Papa also from DLSU Manila having 89.83% and Leinard Jan Corres Zaspa from University of Mindanao – Davao City having 88.50%. DLSU Manila was the lone school in the top performing schools’ list having 61 out of 72 examinees passed or 84.72% passing rate.
