Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the schedule of online application, as well as requirements for application in October and November 2020 Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE).
The board exams for Architecture, per recent anouncement will be held on October 30 and November 1, 2020 at designated testing locations in Manila/NCR, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi and Zamboanga.

Update May 8, 2020: PRC announced the new/re-scheduled dates of all postponed/cancelled board exams from March to June 2020 due to Enhanced Community Quanrantine brought by COVID-19 pandemic.
Likewise, those applicants who already have filed their application for examination and issued the Notice of Admission (NOA) will no longer be required to file a new application.

ALE ONLINE APPLICATION 2020
Applicants are likewise advised to apply online via https://online1.prc.gov.ph/ or https://online.prc.gov.ph/ before going to the venue. Applicants are also encouraged to pay through UCPB (over-the-counter), Land Bank (i-access), or PayMaya.

LIST OF REQUIREMENTS
PRC also reminds applicants to secure all requirements before proceeding to PRC centers for further processing of applications and also avoid further inconvenience.
- BS Architecture
- NSO / PSA Birth Certificate
- NSO / PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants)
- Transcript of Records with scanned picture and Remarks “For Board Examination Purposes” (first timers and repeaters)
- College Diploma (first timers)
- PTR, IAPOA number of architect Mentor (first timers)
- Valid NBI Clearance (first timers and repeaters)
- Payment of 900 pesos.
- BS Architecture- Two (2) years of diversified training and experience after graduation
- Logbook of Diversified experience
- Affidavit of Experience signed and sealed by a registered Architect with updated ID
- Masters Degree in Architecture – one (1) year practical experience
- Affidavit of Experience signed and sealed by a registered Architect with updated ID
- Payment of 900 pesos.

COVERAGE OF ARCHITECTURE BOARD EXAMS
The 2020 ALE covered the following topics:
- History and Theory of Architecture, Principles of Planning, Architecture Practice (30%)

PREVIOUS ALE
ALE January 2020 result are expected to be released by January 29, 2020. Architecture board exam is one of the the programs with average number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.
In the recent Architect board exams conducted on June 2019, 2,104 out of 3,172 (66.33%) examinees passed. John Vincent Rojo Lopez from Eulogio (Amang) Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology clinched the top spot having 84.90% rating followed by Ben John Canonigo Lazo from University of Pangasinan having 84.50%. University of Santo Tomas ranked first in the list of top performing schools having 92.86% overall passing rate followed by University of San Carlos garnering 89.69% and De La Salle University – College of Saint Benilde having 85.45%.
During the January 2019 board exams, 1,120 out of 1,990 (56.28%) examinees passed. Justin Lei Germino Ramos from Cebu Institute of Technology – University ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 83.80% followed by Carlo Martin Lovete Llanto from University of the Philippines – Diliman having 83.50%. In the top performing schools, Mapua University Manila was the lone school having 43 out of 51 examinees passed or 84.31%.
