DOST-SEI Scholarship Results 2026: List of Passers

MANILA, Philippines – The February and March 2026 DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship results, including the complete list of passers, are expected to be officially released by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) anytime in May 2026.

The 2026 DOST Scholarships were conducted on February 21–22 and March 7–8, 2026, across 222 testing centers nationwide. According to the agency, a total of 97,617 Grade 12 students took the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Examination.

Of the total examinees, 57,951 came from Luzon, 21,227 from Visayas, and 18,439 from Mindanao.

In addition, 48 aspiring scholars are scheduled to take the examination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, further expanding the program’s reach to overseas Filipino students. Luzon recorded the highest number of examinees, accounting for the majority of applicants in this year’s scholarship program.

About DOST Scholarship 2026

The DOST Scholarship 2026 is open to incoming college freshmen who meet the eligibility requirements and successfully pass the national qualifying examination.

Offered by the Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), the program aims to develop talented Filipino youth in science and technology (S&T) and ensure a steady pool of professionals who will contribute to the country’s innovation and economic growth.

Qualified applicants will begin receiving their scholarship benefits in the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027.

The DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship is one of the most prestigious government scholarship programs in the Philippines, offering not only financial support but also a clear pathway toward a career in science and technology.

It is ideal for students who aspire to become engineers, scientists, IT professionals, researchers, and innovators who will help shape the nation’s future.

DOST Scholarship 2026 Benefits

Scholars under the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Program are entitled to the following benefits:

  • ₱8,000 monthly stipend
  • Tuition fee subsidy up to ₱40,000 per academic year (for private universities and colleges)
  • ₱10,000 annual learning materials and/or connectivity allowance
  • ₱1,000 one-time clothing allowance
  • One round-trip economy-class fare per year (for scholars studying outside their home province)
  • ₱10,000 thesis allowance
  • ₱1,000 graduation allowance
  • Premium group accident and health insurance
  • Research dissemination grant up to ₱50,000, subject to evaluation and approval for conference presentations or journal publications

These benefits will be provided throughout the scholar’s Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program in approved S&T fields.

Notice of Award and Orientation

Successful applicants will receive a Notice of Award, while potential qualifiers will be required to resubmit specific documents for further evaluation.

After confirmation, scholars together with their parents or legal guardians will be invited to attend an orientation, where the scholarship’s policies, benefits, and obligations will be thoroughly explained.

How to Avail the DOST Scholarship 2026?

To qualify for the DOST Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Enroll in a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a priority science and technology field
  • Study in a State University or College (SUC) or a qualified private institution

Private higher education institutions must be:

  • Recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a Center of Excellence (COE) or Center of Development (COD), or
  • Granted Level III accreditation by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines

Return Service Agreement

After completing their degree, DOST scholars are required to render service in the Philippines. This means working in their specialized S&T field—either in the public or private sector—for a period equivalent to the number of years they received the scholarship.

This return service ensures that the country benefits from the scholars’ expertise and investment in their education.
