Flights Cancelled July 8, 2016 due to Typhoon Butchoy

MANILA, Philippines – Some of the flights in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Manila have been cancelled due to heavy rains brought about by Typhoon “Butchoy”. As reported, these are the flights affected, courtesy of GMANews:


Domestic Flights

  • PAL Express: 2P 2084 and 2085 Manila to Basco and Basco to Manila
  • SkyJet: M8 816 and 817 Manila to Basco and Basco to Manila


International Flight

  • China Airlines (CI) 711 & 712: Manila-Kaohsiung (Taiwan) and Kaohsiung (Taiwan) to Manila

Meanwhile, works and classes in public and private schools were also suspended July 8, 2016 in major parts of Manila area due to heavy rains.

As of 4:00 AM update of PAGASA, Typhoon “Butchoy” which is currently heading Taiwan (current forecast track) has a maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph.
