Geodetic Engineering Result March 2022: GELE List of Passers, Topnotchers, Performance of Schoos

MANILA, Philippines – The March 2022 Geodetic Engineering Licensure Exam GELE results including the complete board list of passers, top 10 examinees (topnotchers) and performance of schools are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Geodetic Engineering in one (1) working days after the last day of exams.

As announced, 21 out of 51 examinees successfully passed the exams.

The Geodetic Engineer licensure exams were conducted on March 10-11, 2022 in testing centers in Cebu by the Board of Geodetic Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Epifanio D. Lopez and its members Engr. Concordio D. Zuñiga and Engr. Randolf S. Vicente.

The GELE was originally scheduled on December 22-23, 2021 but later re-scheduled due to devastating effect of Super Typhoon Odette.

The performance of schools for March 2022 Geodetic Engineer licensure exams in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7 (m) or “to monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation”.

Release of Results

The March 2022 Geodetic Engineering board exam results are expected to be released 2-3 working days after the last day of exams. Stand by from March 15-16, 2022. Meanwhile, PRC may also release the results earlier or later than the estimated date without prior notice.

Schedule of Registration

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new Geodetic Engineers will be from April 20-21, 2022.

Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:

  • Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
  • Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
  • One (1) piece short brown envelope

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Verification of Rating

The verification of ratings and test results for the Geodetic Engineering licensure exams will be available online few working days after the posting of results.

Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.

As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name and last name and the birth-date.

Oath-Taking Ceremonies

Due to the pandemic, the oathtaking ceremony for the newly Licensed Geodetic Engineers will be done online, now referred as the “e-oath”. The application system for the e-oath can be accessed online via PRC dedicated portal via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and  select “e-OATH” as transaction.

Inductees are required to print “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form that is downloadable at the PRC Online Services.

Coverage of Exams

The March 2022 Geodetic Engineering and Biosystems Engineering licensure exams covered the following topics:

  • Laws, Rules and Regulations (Public land laws and natural resources, laws on property, land reform laws, land registration laws on obligation and contracts, professional and ethical practice and rules and regulations government land surveying)
  • Mathematics (including algebra, solid geometry, analytical geometry engineering economics, plane and spherical trigonometry, differential and integral calculus, mechanics and least squares)
  • Theory and Practice of Surveying (including property surveying, isolated, mineral and mining surveys, cadastral land surveying, astronomy, route surveys and earthworks, hydrographic and topographic surveying, photogrammetry, engineering surveys and construction surveying)
  • Geodesy (including geodetic surveying, geodetic astronomy, geodetic triangulation, geodetic leveling, gravity measurement and least squares)
  • Cartography (including plotting and mapping of isolated, mineral, cadastral, hydrographic photogrammetric surveys and map projection).

Previous Exams

Licensure Exam for Geodetic Engineers is one of the PRC-regulated exam with the average number of examinees.

In the most recent GELE held on December 2021, 375 out of 694 examinees passed. Christian Janlois Arguelles Noriega from University of the Philippines Diliman ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 91.80% followed by Gian Nathan Acurantes Tongco also from the same school having 91.80%. UP Diliman was the top performing school having 97.53% overall passing rate.

On October 2019 exams, 481 out of 877 successfully passed. Charlene Gallentes Bolastig from CARAGA State University – Butuan City ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 91.20% followed by Lemuel John Atenta Bagtas from University of the Philippines – Diliman having 88.60%. UP Diliman and Pampanga State Agricultural University – Pampanga were the top performing schools having 100.00% passing rate.
