Independence Day 2016 Job Fair in Central Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through Regional Director Ana Dione announced that 11, 373 jobs are waiting for job hunters this 2016 in the Independence Day Jobs Fair or the Kalayaan Job Fair in Central Luzon.

The Kalayaan job fair will be held at the following locations on June 12, 2016.

  • Malolos Sports and Convention Center, Malolos City Bulacan
  • Liwasang Bayan, San Felipe, Zambales
  • Baler Municipal Hall, Baler Aurora

Dole also said that a pre-independence job fair also be held on June 10, 2016 at the Old Capitol Compound, Burgos St., Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija.

On June 13, another scheduled job fair will be held at Rizal Triangle, Olongapo City and on June 30 at Municipal Ground, Concepcion, Tarlac.

What are the jobs available?

Several local and overseas employment vacancies are available at the said event. Likewise, other labor and employment services will also be catered to all applicants.

As quoted from RD Dione,

“A total of 5,955 jobs for local employment will be available during the job fair, courtesy of 142 participating private companies and 30 government agencies”

For overseas employment, DOLE is expecting about 5, 388 openings will be available as processed by POEA.

The Independence Day 2016 Jobs fair is organized by DOLE in participation of other government agencies like Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authoritiy (TESDA), Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC), among others.

Jobseekers are also advised by DOLE to come prepared with proper attire and with ready resumes, transcript of records, diploma, ID photos, and other important documents which may be needed by the employers.

Atty. Dione also said that applicants may already pre-register online before June 12 to avoid hassle during the event.

“To save time for jobseekers, they may now start filling-up their Skills Registration System Forms to pre-register to the PhilJobnet. They may likewise visit their nearby PESOs in their areas to register”
