MANILA, Philippines (NAPOLCOM Exam Result Released January 2, 2020) – The list of passers as well as top examinees in the October 2019 NAPOLCOM qualifying exams for PNP entrance applicants (patrolman) and promotional categories are available at this website as NAPOLCOM officially releases the numbers online two (2) months after the conduct of exams.
As announced, 6,492 out of 46,386 (14%) combined examinees successfully passed the exams. Below is the distribution of passers:
- 3,684 out of 34,984 (10.53%): PNP Entrance
- 2,808 out of 11,402 (24.63%): Promotional Exams
- 27 examinees passed the Police Officer 1st Class Examination for Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel
- 115 examinees hurdled the Police Officer 2nd Class Examination for Police Lieutenant and Police Captain

The October 2019 NAPOLCOM exams were administered by the National Police Commission headed by the Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao on October 27, 2019.
The October 2019 NAPOLCOM exams were conducted at testing centers located in Makati, San Fernando (La Union), Tuguegarao, Angeles (Pampanga), Cabuyao, Calapan, Iloilo, Cebu, Tacloban, Calbayog, Pagadian, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Koronadal, Baguio, Butuan, and Cotabato, and in the provinces of Batanes, Cavite, Quezon, Albay, Kalinga and Tawi-Tawi.
NAPOLCOM said that a total of 48,436 examinees combined examinees took the NAPOLCOM exams. 36,282 were registered to take the PNP entrance exams while 12,154 examinees are distributed to various promotional test categories.

WHEN IS THE RELEASE OF NAPOLCOM RESULT OCTOBER 2019?
NAPOLCOM is not yet disclosing the exact date of release of October 2019 exams. However, based on the previous exams releases, results are normally published in two (2) months after the exams. Examinees can expect the results by December 2019 to January 2020 (estimate).
Per NAPOLCOM, the notification of results for October 2019 PNP entrance and promotional exams will be posted at NAPOLCOM Central Office located at DILG-NAPOLCOM Center, NAPOLCOM Building, EDSA corner Quezon Avenue, West Triangle Quezon City 1104 as well as at NAPOLCOM official website.
Meanwhile, official results of NAPOLCOM may also be released earlier or later than the estimated date without prior notice.
In the same licensure exams conducted last April 2019 and October 2018 official result was out two (2) months after the conduct of exams.
In the latest NAPOLCOM press release, Atty. Casurao said that they are aiming to release the results within 45 working days. To quote,
The release of the results of police examinations is in consonance with the Commission’s commitment to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to make available the examination results within forty-five (45) working days from the date of the examinations, and in sync with the recruitment process being undertaken by the PNP
COVERAGE OF OCTOBER 2019 NAPOLCOM EXAMS
The October 2019 PNP entrance exams covered topics including general information (comprising of the Philippine Constitution and history, Philippine law and history, criminal justice systems, current events, social awaress and value judgement), verbal reasoning (including the vocabulary, comprehension, grammar, the basic concepts and problem solving skills of quantitative reasoning) and verbal and non-verbal logical reasoning.

VERIFICATION OF NAPOLCOM EXAMS RATING
October 2019 PNP entrance and promotional examinees (pass or failed) can refer to the NAPOLCOM official website and use the Online Verification of Ratings page to access their rating. This usually comes few days after the posting of results. As posted, examinee shall only provide the application number to know the rating.
A Report of Rating (RR) will be mailed to the examinee’s mailing address while the verification can be made at Examination Division, Personnel and Administrative Service (PAS), NAPOLCOM central office. The examinees who didn’t received RR can request certification from the same office upon payment of 150.00 pesos.
NAPOLCOM ONLINE APPLICATION 2020
NAPOLCOM has published the online registration as well as the exam schedule for the year 2020. Meanwhile, PNP entrance exam as well as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th class promotional applicants can expect the exams by April 2020 and October 2020.
Interested applicants may apply/ register at NAPOLCOM OLEASS 2020 or the Online Exam Application Scheduling System on the NAPOLCOM specified date. PNP Entrance and promotional exam applications come in First Come First Serve basis.
RENAMING OF NAPOLCOM PNP ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL EXAMS TITLES
Beginning March 2019, NAPOLCOM has utilized the new examination titles for all examination categories. This is in pursuant to R.A 11200 or “An Act Providing for the Rank Classification in the Philippine National Police, amending for the purpose Section 28 of Republic act No. 6975, as amended, otherwise known as the Department of the Interior and Local Government Act of 1990”. This aims to modify the PNP rank classification as well as standardize how police officers are addressed.

ABOUT NAPOLCOM EXAMS
NAPOLCOM PNP entrance exam is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age, height and educational requirements set forth by the commission while the PNP Promotional examinations are exclusively available to all qualified members of the PNP who meet minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.
NAPOLCOM reiterates that the removal of height requirement only applies in taking the PNP Entrance Test and not in the PNP recruitment process.

NAPOLCOM HIRING
Interested applicants can apply online should they want to be a member of Philippine police force. Below are the basic requirements taken from the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management website.
- Must be a citizen of the Philippines;
- Must be a person of good moral character and must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP;
- Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution;
- Must pass the eligibility exams of NAPOLCOM (PNP Entrance), Bar or Board Exams (R.A. 1080) and Civil Service Exams (P.D. 907)
- Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;
- Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
- Height requirement: must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m);
- Weight requirement: must weight not more or less than five kilograms (5kg) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her weight, age, and sex;
- Age requirement: must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.
In addressing the concerns of insurgency and support programs, NAPOLCOM recently announced that they will be hiring 10,000 new policemen. New recruits will be distributed to various PNP mobile forces, PNP offices and National Support Units.

NAPOLCOM entrance and promotional exams are conducted by the Commission twice a year. For the year 2019, it was scheduled on April and October 2019.
In the most recent NAPOLCOM exam conducted on April 2019, 5,121 out of 32,972 (15.53%) passed the PNP entrance exams while 5,481 out of 13,447 (40.76%) hurdled the promotional categories. Kimberly Castro Pequiras was the topnotcher in PNP etnrance exams garnering a rating of 85.94% followed by Joshua Agrida Balbuena garnering 84.91%. Theodore Magbanua Salazar ranked first in the Police Officer category having 87.20% followed by Kevin Ryan Nazarrea Libreja garnering 86.47%. Ryan Abelidas Alburo, 83.65% was the topnotcher in Senior Police Officer category followed by Jeremia Bumidang Ollagon having 83.55%. Dioscoro Asdang Basañez was the topnotcher in Police Inspectory category having 82.83% followed by Ean Paul Raña Lachica garnering 82.62% while in the Superintendent exams, Leo Roxas Cajulao was the topnotcher having 79.34% rating followed by Joemen Pajota Collado garnering 79.28%.
In the NAPOLCOM exams conducted on October 2018, 3,742 out of 32,912 (11.37%) examinees passed the PNP entrance while 4,410 out of 12,602 (34.99%) hurdled the promotional categories. Gary Ann Dy Nuñez ranked first in the PNP entrance exams garnering a rating of 86.08% followed by Liezyl Salarde Turtugo having 85.74%. In the Police Officer category, Jay Paul Cabanao Joaquin clinched the top spot having 85.20% followed by Philip John Atega garnering 85.00%. Lovelyn Candaganan topped the Senior Police Officer category having 84.40% followed by Dianne Garrote Yting garnering 84.20%. Joseph Sangco Painaga ranked first in the the Police Inspector category having 85.71% rating followed by Arnold Nixon Cammagay Sarangay garnering a rating of 81.45% while in the Superintendent Category, Jude Bryan Balonggay topped the exams having 77.69% rating followed by Mark Gerome Penados Nebria having 76.98%.
On April 2018 exams, 4,404 out of 30,231 (14.57%) examinees passed the PNP Entrance exams while 5,680 out of 14,329 (39.64%) combined examinees passed the promotional exams. Normal Cabangen Pentang ranked first in the PNP Entrance exams garnering 75.42% rating followed by Dennis Ian Bahinting Revillas garnering 75.34%. Andres Edde Palaghicon clinched the top spot in the Police Officer promotional exam category garnering 87.80% rating followed by Annie Pacheco Lagaban having 85.60%. Nicco Galibot topped the Senior Police Officer category garnering 89.00% rating followed by Douglas Bañez Ramos having 88.00%. Rudy Duave Divinagracia was named topnotcher in the Police Inspector category having 81.21% rating followed by El Michael Sawan Ortiaga garnering 80.69%. In the Superintendent category, Norman Cabangen Pentang ranked first followed by Dennis Ian Bahinting having 75.34%. Per Atty. Casurao, the record very low passing rate was attributed to NAPOLCOM’s continuous upgrading of standards on its police examinations in line with its sustained effort to professionalize the PNP by ensuring that only the best and most qualified individuals are recruited and promoted in the police service.
During the NAPOLCOM exams conducted on October 2017, 5,236 out of 28,654 (18.27%) passed the PNP entrance exams while 419 out of 1,253 (33.44%) hurdled the promotional tests. Czarina Janine Macabalo Tizon clinched the top spot garnering 88.00% rating followed by John Christopher Rodriguez having 87.29%. Dale Osdawen Fomocao topped the Police Officer promotional exam having 89.80% followed by Nestor Jr. David Arciaga garnering 87.80%. Paul Mar Tayaban was named as topnotcher in the Senior Police Office category having 87.00% followed by Richard Dumagat Lozada garnering 86.20%. In Police Inspector category, Jonald Hernandez Papasin ranked first garnering 81.55% followed by Gerald Erfe Borja having 80.71%. Julius Ibarreta Prima topped the Superintendent exams having 75.95% followed by Angel Zulueta Pineda having 75.17%.
In April 2017 exams, 2,026 out of the 26,561 (7.63%) examinees passed the PNP entrance exams while 5,610 out of 15,763 (35.59%) combined examinees hurdled the promotional exams. Joy Abuyog Araojo ranked first in the PNP entrance exams garnering 86.04% followed by Nicholson Capulong Zapanta garnering 83.58% rating. In Police Officer promotional category, Paul Mar Tayaban Magastino clinched the top spot having 89.20% followed by Richard Dumagat Lozada having 88.20%. John Mirano Calaor was the topnotcher in the Senior Police Officer category garnering 84.80% rating followed by Samuel Comision Cinco having 84.60%. Nolasco Salvacion Sangangbayan was the topnotcher in Police Inspector category having 83.82% followed by Geoffrey Villena Enrado garnering 82.05% while in the Superintendent category, Eurem Jay Quilbio Macasil was the topnotcher having 80.07% followed by Rommel Datuin Villamor having 79.76%.
