MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission announced that the May 2021 Nursing Licensure Exam (NLE) schedule which was earlier re-scheduled to November 2021 will now push through on July 3-4, 2021.
The announcement were issued through PRC Resolution No. 1353 series of 2021, entitled “Rescheduling the May 2021 Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) to July 3 & 4, 2021 and retaining the November 21 & 22, 2021 Schedule for the Second Batch of NLE”.
The revision in schedule was made due to numerous requests of conducting the NLE at an earlier dates to help augment the governments workforce in battling the COVID-19.

Whereas, there is a clamor to reconsider the possibility of conducting the NLE at earlier dates due to the urgent call of the government to augment the workforce of the medical professions, especially the Registered Nurses, on the country’s battle against COVID-19, pandemic.

Several board exams scheduled on first and second quarters of 2021 were cancelled and re-scheduled due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, there were also licensure exams that pushed through following a strict health and safety protocols imposed by the commission. Among are the board exams for Medical Technologists/ MTLE, Social Workers, Veterinarians, Physicians/ PLE, Pharmacists.

Shown below is the revised schedule of the 2021 NLE.
