PLE RESULTS 2025 – The March-April 2025 Physician Licensure Exam (PLE) results, including the complete list of board passers, top 10 (topnotchers), and school performance, are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Medicine four (4) working days after the last day of exams.

PRC announced that 1,901 out of 3,827 (49.67%) successfully passed the March-April 2025 PLE. “The results of examination with respect to two (2) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.”

The Physician board exam was conducted on March 30, 31, April 6 & 7, 2025, at testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. The Board of Medicine is headed by Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, Chairman and members, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Joanna V. Remo and Dr. Prudencio Z. Sta. Lucia, Jr. (Inhibited).

Release of Results

Update April 14, 2025: PRC confirmed that the results of the March-April 2025 Physician Licensure Exam (PLE) will be released today, April 24, 2025. To quote,

“Stay alert because the exciting result for PLE will be out today!”

Previous Update

According to PRC Resolution No. 1927 series of 2024, the March-April 2025 Physician Licensure Exam results will be released on April 14, 2025.

However, the release of Physician Board Exam results may vary, occurring earlier or later than the estimated date. During the October 2024 PLE, results were released after three (3) working days. Schedule of Registration

The schedule for online appointments to obtain the new Licensed Physicians’ Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be held on these date(s):

• Date(s) of Registration: Starting May 22, 2025

PRC advises online registration through the official website at https://online.prc.gov.ph/. Follow these steps for online registration and ensure you have the following requirements ready:

1. Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes only
2. Completed Oath Form (Panunumpa ng Propesyonal)
3. Two (2) passport-sized ID photos on a white background, each with a complete name tag
4. Two (2) sets of documentary stamps
5. One (1) short brown envelope

PRC emphasizes that successful examinees must complete their registration in person and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Verification of Ratings

The Physician Board exam ratings and test results will be verified online a few days after posting them.

Successful candidates can visit the official PRC website and utilize the Verification Page to check their pass rate in the board examination.

As outlined, a passing candidate should provide the exam name, examination date, application number, first name, last name, and birthdate.

Oath-Taking

All passers interested in attending the face-to-face mass oath-taking shall register no later than 12:00 PM of the day before the date of oath-taking. Register at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm attendance.

Those who cannot attend the mass oath-taking may opt to attend the virtual oath-taking or request a special oath-taking. Once confirmed, the schedule will be posted on the official website.

Passers may schedule an online appointment at http://online.prc.gov.ph and select “e-OATH” as the transaction.

The online registration will close five (5) calendar days before the online oathtaking day. Inductees must print the “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form, downloadable from the PRC official website under PRC Online Services.

After the oath-taking, the inductees shall proceed with the Initial Registration by securing the online appointment at http://online.prc.gov.ph.

Previous Exams

The physician licensure exam is one of the programs with an average number of examinees conducted by the PRC. Here is the summary of PLE results in previous years:

In the most recent exam held in October 2024, 3,845 out of 6,600 (58.26%) examinees passed the exams. Isaac Edron Jones Orig from Davao Medical School Foundation ranked first in the exams, garnering a rating of 89.33%. University of the Philippines-Manila was the top-performing school with a 96.97% rating.

During the recent board exam for Medical Doctors (MDs) held in April 2024, 1,906 out of 3,434 (55.50%) examinees passed. Christopher Niño Camay Mendoza from Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine, Inc. was the topnotcher with an 89.25% rating, followed by Edison Yu Ong from the University of Santo Tomas, 89.08%.

University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center was the top-performing school, having an overall passing rate of 89.23%.
