MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the schedule of the April 2021 Optometrist Licensure Exam (OLE) Practical Phase due to community quarantines brought by COVID-19.
The latter has been re-scheduled on October 18-21, 2021.
The October 2021 licensure exam for aspiring Optometrists was set to be held at PRC testing centers located at the National Capital Region (NCR).

Pursuant to Resolution No. 1348 (s. 2021), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the April 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2021 Optometrists Licensure Examination (OLE) – Practical Phase has been rescheduled to October 18, 19, 20, and 21, 2021.Source: PRC
Several board exams scheduled on first quarter of 2021 were cancelled and re-scheduled (see below) due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, there were also licensure exams that pushed through following a strict health and safety protocols imposed by the commission. Among are the board exams for Medical Technologists/ MTLE, Social Workers, Veterinarians and Physicians/ PLE.

PRC has released the schedule of board exams for the year 2021 on November 2020 through Resolution No. 1283 Series of 2020. These includes the opening of online processing, deadline of filing, target release of results, among other important announcements.
