Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that the board exams scheduled on May 2020 and June 2020 are postponed.
Second Update April 13, 2020: The following board exams are postponed pursuant to Republic Act No. 11469 (s.2020) or the Bayanihan to Heal As One Act declaring a State of National Emergency over the entire country, the declared extension of the imposed Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).
- Civil Engineering (May 3-4, 2020)
- Chemical Engineering (May 6-8, 2020)
- Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam/ CPALE (May 10, 17-18, 2020)
- Dentistry Written (May 12-14, 2020)
- Dentistry Practical (May 26-29, 2020)
- Dental Hygienist, Written (May 21, 2020)
- Dental Hygienist, Practical (May 22, 2020)
- Nursing Licensure Exam/ NLE (May 31-June 1, 2020)
- Criminologists Licensure Examination/ CLE (June 7-9, 2020)
- Environmental Planners Licensure Examination (June 11-12, 2020)
- Licensure Examination for Interior Designers (June 23-25, 2020)
Update May 11, 2019: PRC has announced the new schedule for the above postponed board exams.
Those applicants who already have filed their application for examination and issued the Notice of Admission (NOA) will no longer be required to file a new application.

Update April 13, 2020: PRC, in its latest announcement said that they will be extending the filing of applications for those licensure exams with deadlines from April 15, 2020 to April 30, 2020. To quote,
Due to the extension of Enhanced Community Quarantine until April 30, 2020, all deadlines set from April 15, 2020 to April 30, 2020, for the filing of application for licensure examinations are extended until further notice.
Update March 31, 2020: In a reply to a tweet, PRC said that it depends on whether the President will extend the Enhanced Community Quanrantine. To quote,
Hi, please wait nalang po since this will depend po on the President’s directive if he will extend the lockdown. Thank you.
On Wednesday, March 11, 2020 PRC announced the cancellation of various board exams in light of the Proclamation No. 922 signed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines and calling for the implementation of urgent, critical measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Should the May 2020 board exams be postponed, when is the new/rescheduled dates? This information will also be fed to the public as soon as PRC issued an official announcement.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has already postponed the conduct of the Civil Service Exam (CSE) scheduled on March 15, 2020 following the proclamation of the President.
EXTENSION OF FILING
Will there be an extension of filing of application for CPA, Civil Engineering, Nursing board exams for May 2020? PRC said that there is no advise yet. To quote,
Hi, we will post naman po. As of now, wala po pong advise with regards extension of filing. Thank you.
PRC PUBLIC ADVISORY
On February 24, 2020, PRC has issued a public advisory on Coronavirus Disease 2019. To quote,
“In support of the Department of Health (DOH) initiative to closely monitor the possible entry and local transmission of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is currently implementing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among its personnel and clientele”
“Before the entry to PRC premises, all guests shall be required to fill-out the Client Travel/ Medical History Checklist and body temperature check shall be conducted as a mandatory procedure.”
POSTPONED or CANCELLED?
After the PRC announcement, questions/ speculations arose on how the news was presented. Whether the board exams are cancelled and will be re-scheduled in a later/ longer time? or just delayed/postponed and will be re-scheduled in the succeeding month(s)?
PRC added that they will inform the public on the new schedules. To quote,
Announcement on the new schedules of the affected licensure examinations will be posted on the PRC website and/or PRC social media accounts.

Hi. Hope you’d be able to announce whether May 2020 board exams would push through. Most of us are working already and are planning to take a month leave before the exam. It would be a great help to know if it would be postponed or not for us to be able to retract our leave application if needed. Thank you so much!
Sana po ipostponed nalang po all May 2020 examinations kasi until now increasing padin po ang covid 19 cases. Wala pa pong cure and if ever malift ang quarantine, need padin po ng recovery period ng buong pinas.

I hope PRC would consider postponing the exams for May 2020. This pandemic issue is very stressing that students/examinees cant focus on their review. Also, the cases is still increasing the government might extend the EQC and affect everything including the requirement processing and filing for the exams.

Pano nalang ang social ddistancing kung itutuloy ang exam? Dapat i postpone muna. Increasing ang cases ng covid at hindi safe kahit sa June pa. Postpone the May board exams.
I hope prc may consider postponing or cancelled the May board exam, we cant totally focus on our reviews since covid19 spread national wide, even review centers cant have proper classes, if they can dey do it thru online, but not all reviewees have proper internet connctions, we have still almst 2 months review kung di sana lumala ang covid but it just happend, many of my colleague they force to go home, kahit ang iba sa cebu nag review pero umiwi sa davao for safety i hope it will be count as considerations. thnks

Sana ma postpone para at least makafocus pa kami mga takers sa exam kaysa ang focus namin nasa paano maka survive sa pandemic nato. Hindi pa nga kami nakastart sa review center classes namin.

I hope all may board exams will be postponed it's so stressfull for Us board takers and it will be a gamble if the quarantine will be lifted because we can't tell if It will be Really safe. Sana ipostpone po ang lahat ng mat board exam. Nagwxtend po ng ecq ang baguio until end of may which isa sa exam place ang baguio.
Whether or not ecq be lifted by end of April or before next month, May 2020 examinations shall be postponed, dont feed health risks to your soon-to-be-professionals. We have around 4k positive cases, and it aint stopping nor going down. And pushing through May examinations will only add up to the govt's problem. We still have to recover and mitigate the crisis.

Hello, Mag take sana ako ng CE Board exam ng May 2020. Kaso naabutan pandemic. Nasakin na po yung Noa ko. Valid pa po ba yun kung mag take na ulit ako ngyong May 2022? At ano po sana ang need i update if ever?
