MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the conduct of the previously re-scheduled April 2021 Optometrist Licensure Exam (OLE) – Practical Phase as well as the October 2021 Optometrist Licensure Exams (Written and Practical) as recommended by the “Integrated Philippines Association of Optometrists, Philippine Association of Deans of Schools and Colleges of Optometry, and group of examinees of the 2021 OLE from various schools in the Philippines”.
The postponed Optometry board exams are re-scheduled on December 2021 (written) and January 2022 (practical).
“Examinees of the previously rescheduled April 2021 OLE Practical Phase shall be combined with the October 2021 OLE Practical Phase.”
PRC likewise requests for public’s understanding and cooperation as “complies with the guidelines set forth by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease.”

MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the conduct of the September 2021 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) in testing centers located in National Capital Region/ Metro Manila, Butuan, Lucena and Romblon.
The PRC’s postponement of LET is pursuant to the IATF’s protocols as well as decisions of the Local Government Units (LGUs). To quote,
As recommended by the Department of Health and in accordance with the Inter-Agency Task Force of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-EID) rules and protocols on COVID-19, and pursuant to the directives of the concerned Local Government Units, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the September 2021 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) in the following testing locations is POSTPONED:
National Capital Region (NCR) Lucena Romblon Butuan
Request for transfer of examination testing center shall no longer be entertained but affected examinees will be allowed to take their LEPT on the succeeding examination schedule.
The new/re-scheduled date of September 2021 LET in NCR, Butuan, Lucena and Romblon is yet to be announced.
The September 2021 BLEPT/ teachers licensure exams are originally scheduled on March 2020 but later re-scheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now moved and subdivided into four batches in 2021-2022 due to large volume of examinees. It will now be held on September 2021, January 2022, March 2022 and June 2022.
The exams will be conducted at PRC testing centers located at the National Capital Region, Bacolod, Baguio, Bohol, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Catanduanes, Catarman, Cauayan, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Iloilo, Jolo, Koronadal, Laoag, Legaspi, Marinduque, Masbate, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tawi-tawi, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga and Kidapawan.

MANILA, Philippines – Governor Jose Reaño of Romblon has announced on Thursday through a Facebook post the postponement of the September 2021 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) in Romblon upon the recommendation of their Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer (PDRRMO), Chief of Hospital, School Head, proctors and some of the Mayors of the province.
The postponement of September 2021 LET in Romblon is due to the following reasons, to quote,
1. The detection of COVID-19 Delta variant, albeit one confirmed case, and the spike of COVID-19 positive in the Province have made Romblomanons hesitant and cautious of large gatherings in which these examinations fall under (six hundred seven (607) examinees and more or less than a hundred examination personnel);
2. Conducting LEPT will be a challenge in the Provincial Capital. The RNHS is currently the ONLY Quarantine Facility in the island municipality and transferring quarantined individuals for the conduct of the examinations should be taken into consideration;
3. This office had a meeting with those who may proctor and there are only three (3) teachers who volunteered to be examination personnel due to the PRC Memorandum Order No. 68 series of 2020 where they are required to undergo the mandatory RT-PCR or 14-day quarantine. The resumption of classes will be on September 13, and our teachers will have to distribute the students’ modules (14 day quarantine can hardly be an option);
4. Romblon District Hospital (RDH), which is the only hospital within the Municipality of Romblon, now also serves as vaccination site. The conduct of RT-PCR test for the examinees/examination personnel may hamper the day to day operations and vaccination schedule; we are looking forward that most Romblomanons will be vaccinated to lessen if not avoid the severe effects of COVID-19;5. The Provincial Government of Romblon’s number one priority in these most trying times is the health and safety of every Romblomanon.
Governor Reaño said that same contents are forwarded to PRC Lucena. Meanwhile, PRC Official has yet to make an official announcement on the postponement of LET in Romblon.
The new/re-scheduled date of September 2021 LET in Romblon is yet to be announced.

The Professional Regulation Commission informs the public that the continuation of the Veterinarians Licensure Examination (VLE) on September 2, 2021 and the Sanitary Engineers Licensure Examination (SELE) on September 1 and 2, 2021 in the National Capital Region shall proceed as scheduled as approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID.All examinees are reminded to strictly adhere to the minimum health standards set by the Department of Health and Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
