MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has postponed the September 2021 Qualifying Assessment for Foreign Medical Professionals (QAFMP) in the National Capital Region (NCR)/ Metro Manila.
The September 2021 QAFMP will be conducted on September 13 & 20, 2021 by the Board of Medicine headed by its Chairman, Dr. Clarita C. Maaño and its members, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Rafael R. Castillo and Dr. Raquel S. Sayo.
All affected examinees in NCR may take the next schedule of QAFMP without forfeiture of fees. Likewise, PRC is requesting for public’s understanding on the cancellation as they are just following the IATF. To quote,
The PRC requests the public’s utmost understanding and cooperation as it complies with the guidelines set forth by Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID).

Several board exams scheduled on first and second quarter of 2021 were cancelled and re-scheduled (see below) due to COVID-19 pandemic. However, there were also licensure exams that pushed through following a strict health and safety protocols imposed by the commission. Among are the board exams for Medical Technologists/ MTLE, Social Workers, Veterinarians and Physicians/ PLE.

PRC has released the schedule of board exams for the year 2021 on November 2020 through Resolution No. 1283 Series of 2020. These includes the opening of online processing, deadline of filing, target release of results, among other important announcements.
