RESULTS: December 2021 RadTech & X-Ray Tech Board Exam Passers

MANILA, Philippines (Released January 4) – The December 2021 Radiologic Technologist (RadTech) and X-Ray Technology board exams results including the complete list of passers, top 10 examinees and overall performance of schools are released by the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Radiologic Technology in seven (7)working days after the last day of exams.

As announced, 786 out of 2,177 passed the Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination and 44 out of 155 passed the X-Ray Technologist Licensure Examination. The results of examination with respect to one (1) examinee were withheld as per Board Resolution No. 2 dated January 4, 2022.

The December 2021 RadTech and X-Ray Tech licensure exams were conducted on December 20-21, 2021 in testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga by the Board of Radiologic Technology headed by its Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Reynaldo Apolonio S. Tisado and its members, Dr. Orestes P. Monzon, Mr. Bayani C. San Juan and Ms. Ma. Jesette B. Canales.

Release of Results

Referring to the results of the previous RadTech and X-Ray Tech licensure exams, taking into consideration the restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and the estimated target release date stated in the PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the RadTech and X-Ray Tech board exam results are estimated to be released by January 4, 2022. However, RadTech results may also be released earlier or later than the target release date without prior notice.

Schedule of Registration

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new RadTechs and X-Ray Techs will be from February 2 to February 9, 2022.

Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:

• Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
• Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
• Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
• One (1) piece short brown envelope

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Verification of Rating

The verification of ratings and test results for the December 2021 RadTech and X-Ray Tech licensure exams given by PRC Board of Radiologic Technologist will be available online few working days after the posting of results.

Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.

As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name and last name and the birth-date.

Oath-Taking Ceremonies

Due to the pandemic, the oathtaking ceremony of the new licensed Radiologic Technologists and X-Ray Technologists will be done online, now referred as the “e-oath”. The application system for the e-oath can be accessed online via PRC dedicated portal via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and  select “e-OATH” as transaction.

Inductees are required to print “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form that is downloadable at the PRC Online Services.

RadTech Board Exams Summary (Stats)

Radiologic Technology board exam is one of the programs with average number of examinees conducted by PRC.

In the most recent RadTech board exams held on May 2021, 776 out of 1,917 examinees hurdled the exams. Noli Almazar Samonte from Saint Louis University was the topnotcher having a rating of 90.80% followed by Kenneth Manabat Luciano from Saint Jude College – Manila and Gail Tullo Quinto from Lorma College, both having 90.20% rating. St. Louis University was the lone school in the top performing schools list having an overall passing rate of 89.06%.

During July 2021 RadTech board exams, 2,338 out of 4,505 examinees passed. Kathleen Cleo Jimenez Leonardo from University of Perpetual Help System Dalta – Las Piñas ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 91.20% followed by Rica Ella Fortaleza from Emillio Aguinaldo College – Dasmariñas and John Mark Licaros Diwan from Dr. P. Ocampo College, both having 91.00%. Saint Louis University was the top performing school having an overall passing rate of 97.4% followed by University of Makati having 93.44%.
