Manila, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the schedule of online application, as well as requirements for application in April 2020 and September 2020 Registered Master Electrician (RME) licensure exams.
The board exams for EE will be held on April 16, 2020 and September 6, 2020 at designated testing locations in NCR/ Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga.

Below is the detailed schedule for 2020 Registered Master Electrician licensure exams per PRC Resolution No. 1210 s. 2019 or the Schedule of Licensure Examinations for the Year 2020.

COVID-19/ CORONAVIRUS – ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE
Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 922 dated March 8, 2020 declaring a state of public health emergency throughout the country, and the recommendations of the Department of Health (DOH) and Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease to prohibit mass gatherings, PRC has cancelled board exams scheduled on March and April 2020.
RME is one of the cancelled licensure exams due to Coronavirus pandemic.
Likewise, for appointments set from March 17, 2020 to April 12, 2020, they will be accommodated upon resumption on April 13, 2020.
RME ONLINE APPLICATION 2020
Applicants are likewise advised to apply online via https://online1.prc.gov.ph/ or https://online.prc.gov.ph/ before going to the venue. Applicants are also encouraged to pay through UCPB (over-the-counter), Land Bank (i-access), or PayMaya.

PRC also reminds applicants to secure all requirements before proceeding to PRC centers for further processing of applications and also avoid further inconvenience.
- NSO / PSA Birth Certificate
- NSO / PSA Marriage Contract (for married female applicants)
- Transcript of Records with scanned picture and Remarks “For Board Examination Purposes” (first timers and repeaters)
- Payment of 600 pesos – complete
- *Completed three (3) years BSEE or three (3) year course in Electrical Engineering Technology- Certificate of one (1) year practice
- *Two (2) year vocational electrician’s course – two (2) years apprenticeship
- *One (1) year vocational electrician’s course – three (3) years apprenticeship
- *HIGH SCHOOL Graduate – five (5) years apprenticeship
- *First Timers (Non BSEE) – FTB
- TOR or HS Diploma
- Certificate of Employment
- Notarized certificate of experience signed by an REE or RME whose registration is prior to the date of employment

PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the most recent Electrical Engineering licensure exam held on September 2019, 2,634 out of 4,424 (59.54%) examinees passed. Carlo Latorre Padilla from Batangas State University – Alangilan and Charlene Bolaños Wong from Laguna State Polytechnic University San Pablo shared the top spot having 94.00% rating followed by John Paul Dumadapat Pino from Technological University of the Philippines Taguig having 92.50%. Polytechnic University of the Philippines Sto. Tomas was the top performing school having 100% passing rate followed by University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao having 98.00%.
During April 2019 RME board exams, 2,093 out of 3,728 (56.14%) examinees passed. Kenneth Martija Bolima and Aldwin Plata Mercado, both from De La Salle University (DLSU) – Lipa shared the top spot having 94.00% rating followed by Vincent Jolo Sarmiento Areta also from DLSU Lipa having 92.50%. DLSU Lipa was the top performing school having 98.96% overall passing rate followed by Mindanao State University – General Santos City having 93.10% and Laguna State Polytechnic University – Sta. Cruz having 89.29%.
In September 2018 exams, 2,649 out of 4,251 (62.31%) examinees passed. Dee-Jay Demesa Alvaro from Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology clinched the top spot having 92.50% followed by Ace Roldan Moraña Legardo from Camarines Sur Polytechnic College – Nabua and Keanu Kert Manalang Quiao from Mapua Institute of Technology – Manila having 92.00%. Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sto. Tomas was the top performing school having 96.67% overall passing rate followed by University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao garnering 94.34%.
On April 2018 EE exams, 1,831 out of 3,656 (50.08%) examinees passed. Jayson Butad Bonajos from Bohol Island State University Tagbilaran ranked first in the exams garnering 93.00% rating followed by Jan Brix Matreo Castillo from De La Salle University – Lipa having 92.00% and Philip John Gudito Calape also from Bohol Island State University Tagbilaran having 91.50%. DLSU Lipa was the top performing school having 98.55% overall passing rate followed by Bohol Island State University Tagbilaran having 82.42%.
During September 2017 RME licensure exams held on September 2017, 2,643 out of 3,864 (68.40%) examinees passed. Clint Kenneth Untayao Reducto from Capiz State University Main Campus was the topnotcher garnering 93.00% rating followed by Jenneth Macabante Madrid from University of Perpetual Help System Dalta Las Piñas having 92.50% and Jhun Mark Vincent Reambon Azuela from Bicol University – Legazpi having 92.00%. Polytechnic University of the Philippines Sto. Tomas was the top performing school garnering 98.31% overall passing rate followed by Western Institute of Technology having 90.41%.
