The Guidance Counselor board exam was originally scheduled on August 17-18, 2026. However, the PRC rescheduled the last day of the examination from August 18 to August 23, 2026, due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon. Therefore, the August 2026 Guidance Counselors Licensure Examination was conducted on August 17 and 23, 2026.
The August 2026 Guidance Counselors Computer-Based Licensure Examination (CBLE) was scheduled at testing centers in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Lucena, Rosales, and Tuguegarao. The licensure examination was administered by the PRC Board of Guidance and Counseling, headed by Dr. Luzviminda S. Guzman, Chairman, together with its members, Dr. Elena V. Morada and Dr. Carmelita P. Pabiton.

Release of Results
Update August 2026: The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) originally scheduled the August 2026 Guidance Counselors Licensure Examination on August 17 and 18, 2026. However, the examination scheduled for August 18 was rescheduled to August 23, 2026 due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon.
The PRC’s original target date for the release of the August 2026 Guidance Counselors Licensure Examination results is August 24, 2026. However, following the rescheduling of the last day of examination to August 23, examinees are advised to monitor the PRC’s official announcements for the actual release of results.
The release of Guidance Counselor Board Exam results may occur earlier or later than the target date depending on the circumstances surrounding the processing of examination results.

Schedule of Registration
The schedule for online appointments to obtain the new Guidance Counselors’ Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by the PRC following the release of the August 2026 GCLE results.

PRC advises online registration through the official website at https://online.prc.gov.ph/. Follow these steps for online registration and ensure you have the following requirements ready:
- Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes only
- Completed Oath Form (Panunumpa ng Propesyonal)
- Two (2) passport-sized ID photos on a white background, each with a complete name tag
- Two (2) sets of documentary stamps
- One (1) short brown envelope
PRC emphasizes that successful examinees must complete their registration in person and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.
Verification of Rating
Online access to verify the Guidance Counselor licensure exam ratings and test results will be available within a few days of the results being posted.
All exam-takers can check their passing rate on the official PRC website via the Verification Page.
To initiate the verification process, examinees who passed the exam must provide the exam name, examination date, application number, first name, last name, and date of birth.
Oath-Taking Ceremonies
All passers interested in attending the face-to-face mass oath-taking shall register no later than 12:00 PM of the day before the date of oath-taking. Register at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm attendance.
Those who cannot attend the mass oath-taking may opt to participate in the virtual oath-taking or request a special oath-taking ceremony. Once confirmed, the schedule will be posted on the official website.
Passers may schedule an online appointment at http://online.prc.gov.ph and select “e-OATH” as the transaction.
The online registration will close five (5) calendar days before the online oath-taking day. Inductees must print the “OATH OF PROFESSIONAL” form, downloadable from the PRC official website under PRC Online Services.
After the oath-taking, the inductees shall proceed with the Initial Registration by securing the online appointment at http://online.prc.gov.ph.
