VLE RESULTS: March 2023 Veterinarian Licensure Exam Passers

VLE Results 2023 are out! PRC announces that 220 out of 681 (32.31%) successfully passed the March 2023 Veterinarian Licensure Exams. The results were released on March 7, 2023, two (2) working days after the conduct of the licensure exams.

In previous releases of other 2023 board exam results, PRC posts from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM, while the recent VLE results were posted at 3:00 PM. Based on PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022 entitled “Schedule of the Licensure Exam for the Year 2023“, VLE results will be available within 2 working days.

The Veterinarian board exam was conducted on March 1-3, 2023 at several testing centers located at NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, and Tuguegarao. The Board of Veterinary Medicine Chairman, Dr. Ma. Elizabeth D. Callanta, and its member, Dr. Maximino M. Montenegro, headed the licensure exams.

Schedule of Registration

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for the new Veterinarians will be held on the following date(s):

Initial registrants are advised to register online via PRC official website via https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow the steps in online registration. Here are the registration requirements:

• Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
• Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
• Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
• One (1) piece short brown envelope

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Verification of Rating

The verification of ratings and test results for the licensure exam for veterinarians given by PRC Board of Veterinary will be available online a few working days after the posting of results.

Successful takers can refer to PRC official website and use the Verification Page to know their board examination passing rate.

As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name and last name and the birth-date.

Oath-Taking Ceremonies

PRC has started conducting face-to-face oath-taking for new professionals.

All successful examinees interested in attending the face-to-face mass oath-taking shall register no later than 12:00 NN of the day before the date of the oath-taking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance. The exact date, of whether the oath-taking will be conducted face-to-face or virtual, will be provided here once announced.

Further, inductees shall bring ANY of the following on the day of the oath-taking:

• Vaccination Card
• Negative RT-PCR results taken within 48 hours before the oath-taking

Inductees are advised to register and confirm their attendance in the regions where they took their licensure examination and intend to register as professionals.

Meanwhile, those who will not be able to attend the scheduled face-to-face mass oath-taking may attend the online oath-taking or request for a special oath-taking.

Veterinarian Board Exams Summary (Stats)

Veterinarian board exam is one of the programs with less number of examinees conducted by PRC.

In the most recent exams held on September 2022, 335 out of 928 passed the exams. Kenny Vergara Pique ranked first in the licensure exams garnering a rating of 84.90%, followed by Regina Isabelle Jaimee Ignacio Ranada, both from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. UPLB was the top-performing school having 88.71%.

On March 2022, 288 out of 607 examinees passed. Mark Lawrence Gutierrez Atienza from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños ranked first in the exams garnering 85.92% followed by Jose Eldon Dela Cruz Sumeldan from Central Luzon State University having 84.76%. University of the Philippines Los Baños was the top performing school having 95.00% overall passing rate.

On the August 2021 VLE, 276 out of 720 (38.33%) examinees passed. Gabriel Gonzaga Comota III from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 85.36 followed by Carmela Marie Bongco Lizares from the University of the Philippines – Los Baños having 84.52.

During February 2021 exams, 292 out of 696 (41.95%) examinees passed. Jerard Angelo Ramos Rayala from Central Luzon State University ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 86.22% rating followed by Keighley Shayne Ycaza Wee-Ebol from University of the Philippines Los Baños having 85.80%. University of the Philippines Los Baños was the only university in the top performing schools’ list having 92.45% overall passing rate.
