#WalangPasok: Class Suspension on July 18, 2019 (Thursday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Thursday, July 18, 2019 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to bad weather conditions and occasional to heavy rains brought by Tropical Storm “Falcon”.

Here’s the live list of class/ work suspensions on July 18, 2019 as declared by respective LGUs.


METRO MANILA

  • No announcements yet

PROVINCES

  • Romblon
    • Cajidiocan – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
    • Calatrava – all levels (public and private)

Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at 05:00 pm, 17 July 2019. To quote,

Tropical Storm “Falcon” has maintained its strength and its north northwest track. 

At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm “FALCON” was estimated based on all available data at 265 km East of Calayan, Cagayan.

Today until tomorrow (18 July), moderate to times heavy rains will be experienced over Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, northern Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, and Romblon. Meanwhile, light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon and of Visayas. 

Residents in the aforementioned areas, especially those living in areas identified to be at risk of flooding and landslides, are advised to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, especially the Thunderstorm Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings to be issued by PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.
