#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on July 10, 2018 (Tuesday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to inclement weather conditions brought by southwest moonsoon or “Habagat” intensified by Typhoon “Gardo”.

Here’s the live list of class/ work suspensions as declared by respective LGUs on July 10, 2018.


METRO MANILA

• Malabon City – all levels (public and private)
• Marikina City – all levels (public and private)
• Navotas City – all levels (public and private)
• Valenzuela City – all levels (public and private)

PROVINCES

• Calatagan, Batangas – all levels (public and private)
• Lemery, Batangas – all levels (public and private)
• San Luis, Batangas – all levels (public and private)
• Taal, Batangas – all levels (public and private)
• Pulilan, Bulacan – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
• Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro – all levels (public and private)
• Paluan, Occidental Mindoro – all levels (public and private)
• Santa Cruz, Occidental Mindoro – all levels (public and private)
• Cainta, Rizal – all levels (public and private)
• Jalajala, Rizal – all levels (public and private)
• Rodriguez, Rizal – all levels (public and private)
• San Mateo, Rizal – all levels (public and private)
• Zambales – All levels (public and private)

SCHOOLS

• Liceo di San Lorenzo, Santa Maria, Bulacan
• University of the East, Caloocan

Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at 11:00 AM, 09 July 2018 .

Typhoon “Gardo” has maintained its strength while moving west-nortwestward over the Philippine sea. 

“GARDO” may enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) which will bring monsoon rains over MIMAROPA and Western Visayas, and occasional rains over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Zambales, Bataan, and Aurora until Tuesday (10 July). 

Meanwhile, monsoon rains may affect most of Luzon, especially over the western section, beginning Wednesday (11 July). Residents of these areas, especially those living in low-lying and mountainous areas, are advised to take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides resulting from heavy rains. 

Sea travel is risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon.
