#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions September 26, 2016 (Monday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on September 26, 2016 (Monday) might be announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGU) due to bad weather conditions brought by typhoon “Helen”.

As of 7:00 PM today, below is the list of areas with class suspensions on Monday, September 26, 2016.

Meanwhile, cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE

According to PAGASA weather update issued at: 5:00 AM, 25 September 2016,

At 4:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “HELEN” was located based on all available data at 1,130 km East of Aparri, Cagayan (18.9ºN, 132.3ºE) with maximum sustained winds of up to 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 22 kph.

Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Cental Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to Northwest will prevail over Northern and Central Luzon. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the West to Southwest with slight to moderate seas.
