MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang Palace through Proclamation Nos. 398, 399, 402, 403 and 404 series of 2018 declared February 2 & 3, 2018 as special non-working days at selected areas due to celebrations of various important events.
Special non-working holidays are specifically declared on the following dates for their celebration of respective occasions.
Proclamation No. 398– Special non-working day in the Province of Ilocos Sur on February 2, 2018 (Friday) for the celebration of “Kannawidan Ylocos Festival”.
Proclamation No. 399– Special non-working day in the Province of Bulacan on February 3, 2018 (Saturday) for the celebration of its Blas F. Ople Birth Anniversary. Whereas Blas Ople is a son of Bulacan and and model citizen and public officer to the the Filipino people especially to the “Bulakenyos”. Ople has been the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Senate President and Secretary of Labor and devoted decades of his life to selfless and dedicated service to the country and its people.
Proclamation No. 402– Special non-working day in the Province of Ilocos Norte on February 2, 2018 (Friday) for the celebration of its 200th Founding Anniversary.
Proclamation No. 403 – Special non-working day in the City of Biñan, Province of Laguna on February 3, 2018 (Saturday) for the celebration of its 73rd Liberation Day.
Proclamation No. 404– Special non-working day in the City of Cabanatuan on February 3, 2018 (Saturday) for the celebration of its 68th Founding Anniversary.
Palace said that it is but fitting and proper that the people from above-mentioned cities be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasions with appropriate ceremonies.
