MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Monday, July 1, 2019 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to bad weather conditions and occasional to heavy rains brought by Bagyong “Egay” resulting to flooding.
Here’s the live list of class/ work suspensions on July 1, 2019 as declared by respective LGUs.
METRO MANILA
- Caloocan City – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
- Las Piñas City – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
- Malabon City – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
- City of Manila – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
- Marikina City – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
- Muntinlupa City – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
- Navotas City – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
- Quezon City – all levels (public and private)
- San Juan City – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
- Valenzuela City – starting 12 pm for all levels (public and private)
PROVINCES
- Bataan – afternoon classes in all levels (public and private)
- Lian, Batangas – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
- Bulacan
- Balagtas – all levels (public and private)
- Baliwag – all levels (public and private)

Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.
PAGASA WEATHER UPDATE
According to PAGASA weather update issued at 05:00 pm, 30 June 2019. To quote,
Tropical Depression “Egay” has slightly accelerated while moving over the Philippine Sea East of Northern Luzon.
At 4:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “EGAY” was estimated based on all available data at 545 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.2 °N, 127.2 °E )
Egay has maximum sustained wind of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 65 km/h.
The Southwest Monsoon will bring light to moderate with at times heavy monsoon rains over Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro Provinces, Romblon, and Northern Palawan tonight. Meanwhile, Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Tomorrow, monsoon rains may prevail over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Antique, Aklan, and western Iloilo, while cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms is expected over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
