It took four months of review for the board exam and three months of waiting for the results for Ms. Jessa Ganigan to only celebrate just a day of her success.
On December 1, 2019 the LET results came out and Ms. Jessa Ganigan is one of the successful passers of LET September 2019, but on the following day her parents regretfully informed everyone through a Facebook post that their daughter have passed away.
Jessa Bustinera Ganigan is described by her parents as an epitome of perseverance, because her kidney failure condition and poverty did not stop her from reaching her dreams to become a licensed teacher.
Ms. Ganigan is a resident of La Union Province from where she was born and raised. She is the eldest daughter among the three children of Mr. Angelo Ganigan a farmer and Mrs. Melody Ganigan a housewife. Her parents did not surrender in life especially for the education of their eldest daughter. Ms. Jessa was first admitted to the hospital back in June, 2018.
Since then, she had been undergoing blood tests, ultrasound and she was even admitted in intensive care unit. Despite of the challenges, she was able to finish her baccalaureate degree.
During her LET review, her parents did not fully support the idea of her travelling regularly just to attend review sessions because Jessa is under hospital treatment and dialysis every week; nevertheless, she never failed in attending every review class, because of her strong conviction that she will get that license.
In her dying breath, she expressed her gratitude to CBRC, from which she attended review for LET, for boosting her motivation to ace the board exam.
Jessa plans to undergo kidney transplant after passing the board exam, unfortunately her body grew tired and weak due to chronic renal failure stage 5. “Her body may have given up but her spirit fought until the end” as her parents narrated her final testimony.
To Ma’am Jessa B. Ganigan, as we pray for your eternal repose, we will continue celebrate your success from here to heaven.
