#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on June 11, 2018 (Monday)

MANILA, Philippines – Class suspensions on Monday, June 11, 2018 are announced at certain areas by Local Government Units (LGUs) due to bad weather conditions brought by southwest moonsoon or “Habagat” intensified by typhoon “Domeng”.

Here’s the live list of class/ work suspensions as declared by respective LGUs on June 11, 2018.


  • Caloocan –  All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Las Piñas –  All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Quezon City – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Malabon – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Mandaluyong –  All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Manila – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Marikina –  All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Muntinlupa – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Navotas – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Parañaque – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Pateros – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Pasay – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Pasig – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • San Juan – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Taguig – Preschool to Higschool (Public and Private)
  • Valenzuela –  All Levels (Public and Private)


  • Abra – Preschool to Highschool
  • Lian, Batangas – All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Bacoor, Cavite – Preschool to Elementary (Public and Private)
  • Bataan –  All Levels (Public and Private)
  • Olongapo City – All Levels (Public and Private)

    Cancellation of classes for colleges and universities will be at discretion of school officials/ administrators.

    PAGASA meteorologist Shelly Ignacio told in a local news report that though “Domeng” has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility, it may still bring heavy rains in Luzon areas as it continues to enhance the “Habagat”.

    To quote from the announcement of PAGASA on June 10, 2018:

    The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by the Typhoon will continue bringing monsoon rains over Luzon, especially over the western section, until early next week. The public is advised to continue monitoring for updates, take appropriate actions against possible flooding and landslides, and coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices.

    At 9:00 AM today, the eye of Typhoon “DOMENG” was located based on all available data at 1,045 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR) (25.1 °N, 130.8 °E)

    “DOMENG” has intensified into a typhoon and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). 

    Sea travel remains risky over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, the seaboards of Central Luzon, and the western and southern seaboards of Southern Luzon.
