LIST OF PASSERS: November 2019 Civil Engineering Board Exam Result

MANILA, Philippines – The November 2019 Civil Engineering (CE) board exam result or the Licensure Exam for Civil Engineers list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and performance of school are available at this website as PRC officially releases the results today, November 14, 2019 or online four (4) working days after the board examinations.

As announced,  6,510 out of 15,075 (43.18%) successfully passed the exams.

The November 2019 Civil Engineer board exams were administered by PRC Board of Civil Engineering headed by its Chairman, Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo and its members, Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero on November 9 & 10, 2019.

November 2019 Civil Engineering Board Exam Results Summary

The November 2019 Civil Engineer Licensure Exam (CELE) were conducted at testing centers located in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

When is the release of Civil Engineering exam result November 2019?

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 1127 s. 2018 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2019”, the target release date of CE board exam result November 2019 will be on November 14, 2019 or four (4) working days after the board exams. However, this may also be out earlier or later than the target date without prior notice.

In the same licensure exams conducted last May 2019 and November 2018, official result was out after four (4) working days.

Initial Registration

The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for civil engineer licensure exam passers 2019 will be from November 22 to November 29, 2019 and December 2 to December 6, 2019.

PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for all passers effective March 30, 2016. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online.prc.gov.ph/, an online application and registration portal of PRC.

Here are the registration requirements for November 2019 civil engineering passers:

  • Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
  • Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos in white background and with complete name tag
  • Two (2) sets of documentary stamp
  • One (1) piece short brown envelope

PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Coverage of Exam

The November 2019 civil engineering licensure exam covered topics including mathematics, surveying and transportation engineering (algebra, plane and spherical trigonometry, analytics, descriptive and solid geometry, differential and integral calculus, highway and railroad surveying, plane topographic and hydrographic surveying, advanced surveying, design and construction of highways and railroads, piers, ports and wharves), hydraulics and geotechnical engineering (fluid properties, hydrostatic pressures, fluid flow, buoyancy and flotation, relative equilibrium of liquids, hydrodynamics, water supply soil properties, soil classification, fluid through soil mass, stresses in soil mass, soil strength and tests, bearing capacity, compaction, consolidation and settlement, lateral earth pressures and slope stability) and structural engineering and construction (engineering mechanics, strength of materials, theory of structures, analysis and design of concrete, steel, timber structures and foundation with the application of the governing codes of practice).

Where to verify CE Result/Rating Nov 2019?

Successful PRC civil engineering passers November 2019 can refer to the official website and use the LERIS Verification Page to know their board examination rating. This usually comes few days after the posting of results. As posted, a passer shall only provide the exam name, the date of examination, the application number, first name, last name and the birth-date.

The date and venue of the oath-taking ceremonies come few weeks after the release of board exam.

Use of Calculator

It is also worth to note that similar to LET, Psychometrician, Midwifery and other PRC-regulated professions licensure exams, for November 2019 civil engineering board exams, programmable calculator is not allowed inside the examination room.

To preserve the integrity of CELE, PRC board of civil engineering released the list of allowed calculators for November 2019 board exams onward. The board emphasized that the use of brands CASIO FX-991ES and CASIO FX-991ES are strictly prohibited.

Allowed calculators are limited to functions/features including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, trigonometric function, logarithm and xy. Likewise, only one (1) calculator per examinee is allowed in examination room and will be thoroughly inspected by proctors for maximum compliance.

CE Board Exam Schedule 2020

As of this writing, PRC is not yet publishing the civil engineering board exam schedule for the year 2020. Meanwhile, applicants can expect the exams by April-May and November 2020. We will keep everyone posted on the schedule/ start of online processing a well as the deadline as soon as available.

Previous Exams

Civil engineering is one of the programs with huge number of examinees being administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

In the most recent exams conducted on May 2019, 3,372 out of 8,855 (38.08%) examinees passed. Ronie Tanilon Tarriga II from University of Cebu clinched the top spot having 95.20% followed by John Francis Viloria Pedroso from Mindanao State University – Gen. Santos City garnering 94.60% and Reymart Arcenal Refil from Cebu Institute of Technology University having 94.15%. De La Salle University (DLSU) – Manila was the top performing school having 90.29% overall passing rate followed by Mapua University – Manila having 80.65%.

During November 2018 civil engineer licensure exam, 6,262 out of 13,887 (45.09%) examinees passed. Jaydee Niere Lucero from University of the Philippines (UP) – Diliman ranked first in the exams garnering a rating of 97.20% followed by Norejun de Guzman Osial from Bicol University – Legazpi having 96.50%. In the top performing schools’ list, University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) ranked first garnering 98.63% overall rating followed by Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College – Talisay having 96.08% and University of the Philippines – Diliman having 92.11%.

On May 2018 CE, 2,738 out of 7,599 (36.03%) examinees passed. Renz Rodney Sarile Fernandez from Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City ranked first in the exams garnering 93.55% rating followed by alumni of Mapua Institute of Technology – Manila, Garret Patrick Satsatin Baluyot and John Victor Juvida Lau having 93.25% and 93.05% respective ratings.  De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila was the lone school in the top performing schools list having an overall passing rate of 88.14%.

On November 2017 exams, 6,075 out of 12,447 (48.81%) examinees successfully passed. Nikho Lawrence Ramos Corres from UP Diliman ranked first in the exams garnering 97.90% rating followed by Hans Lawrence Eugenio Dela Cruz from Technological Institute of the Philippines – Manila having 97.55%. UP Diliman was the top performing school November 2017 CE exams having 97.41% overall passing rate followed by UPLB having 96.55% and Bohol Island State University Tagbilaran having 87.04%.

During May 2017 exams, 2,514 out of 6,998 (35.92%) examinees passed. Hisham Adiong Sacar from Far Eastern University (FEU) – Institute of Technology ranked first in the exams garnering 94.60% rating followed by Christian Paul Dela Cruz Sanguyo from Mapua Institute of Technology – Manila having 93.55%. DLSU Manila was the lone school in the top performing schools list having 86 out of 105 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 81.90%.

On November 2016 CE exams, 5,036 out of 10,972 (45.90%) examinees passed. Sirven Carandang Garibay from UPLB ranked first garnering 93.20% rating. He was followed by Samuel Eliezer Yu Uy and Selina Dianne King Bernardo, both from University of San Carlos having 92.75% and 92.65% ratings. UP Diliman and UPLB got the first two spots in the top performing schools having 96.08% and 95.16% overall respective passing rate.

On May 2016, 2,245 out of 5,882 (38.17%) examinees passed the exams. Luvincci Del Rosario Tan from Mapua Institute of Technology Manila ranked first garnering 93.70% rating. He was followed by Christian Espiritu Baldo and Rei Kevin Catantan Tungcab, both from FEU – Institute of Technology having 93.25% and 91.70% respective ratings. DLSU was the only school in the top performing schools list having 71 out of 88 examinees passed or an equivalent 80.68% overall passing rate.
